Team Tournament Rules and Regulations

1) Swiss pairing system will be followed

2) The arbiters decision shall be final and binding on all players
3) The pairings for a round robin should be made in accordance with the Berger tables
4) Each player has entered into a contract to play throughout the tournament.
5) A player shall not speak about any game while it is in progress, except as allowed in the Laws of
Chess..
6) In a team competition a player must not stand behind the opposing team during play.
7) A team captain is allowed to leave or re-enter the playing venue only with the permission of
the arbiter
8) The team captain must not stand behind the opposing team during play
9) A team captain may advise a player to accept or offer a draw. But, the final decision has to be
made by the player himself.
10)The Arbiter must always take care so that the Captains will stand behind their players during
the round, so that to avoid any eye contact.
11)During a game, a player is forbidden to have a mobile phone
