Griffin is the protagonist of tbe novel 'The Invisible Man' authored by H.G Wells.

He was an albino and a gifted scientist. Earlier he was a medicine student but
shunned medicine in favour of physics and discovered a formula for invisibility.
Being an extraordinary scientist, he deserved support and provjsion of resources
feom people to carry out his work but instead he is neglected and ill-treated by
people. But he is himself responsible for the negative attitude of people towards
him. He does not confides nor even communicates with people. Dissolved in his
studies, he isolates himself. His obsession for his experiments and studies make
him so insensitive that he robs his father due to which his father commits suicid.
But instead of feeling guilty, he rationalizes his crime by convincing hself that he
is carrying out a sckentific experiment and his father became " the victim of his
own foolish sentimentality". He becomes rebellious starts disregarding all social
and moral norms and personal and property rights of people. Just to cover his
trail he, he burnt his landlord's house. He becomes aggressive, violent,
revengeful, callous and cruel. In order to get some clothes, food and manet, he
robs and knocks people without giving a second thought. To him killing people
was not a big deal. He kills eveyone who comes in his way. His moral degradation
and disregard to all norms develops in him a greed for power. He is a devilish
villain and deams of estabilishing a reign of terror on mankind. In this regard, he
tries to get the support of Doctor Kemp. But when Kemp refuses to be a part of
his plan, he turns against him and becomes revengeful. He becomes determined
to kill him. He chases Kemp throughout the town but is overpowered by people.
Fatally injured, The Invisible Man meets his end.
