SYARAT DAN KETENTUAN TUGAS DI ELISA

o Setiap mahasiswa peserta kuliah MK KD II wajib mengerjakan tugas sesuai materi dan
jadwal yang ditentukan.
o Tugas diupload sebelum batas waktu habis.
sebelum batas waktu upload habis.
kegagalan download tugas)
o PASTIKAN Nama file (HARUS) mengikuti format : No Kelas_NIF_Nama Mhs
contoh mahasiswa kelas A, nama Maya Hapsari, NIF 05658 maka nama filenya:
A_05658_Maya Hapsari

Nama : Maya Hapsari (Tulis nama sesuai daftar hadir)

Tugas #1 Kimia Dasar II FMIPA UGM Tahun 2018

Kerjakan soal-soal berikut secara singkat, jelas dan benar.

Perhatikan syarat dan ketentuan di atas,
1. Write the equilibrium law for each of the following gaseous reactions in terms of molar
concentrations:
(a) 2PCl3(g) + O2(g) 2POCl3(g)
(b) N2H4(g) + 6H2O2(g) 2NO2(g) + 8H2O(g)
(c) SOCl2(g) + H2O(g) SO2(g) + 2HCl(g)

2. For which of the following reactions does KP = Kc?

(a) 2H2(g) + C2H2(g) C2H6(g)
(b) CO2(g) + H2(g) CO(g) + H2O(g)
(c) PCl3(g) + Cl2(g) PCl5(g)
(d) N2O4(g) 2NO2(g)

3. One possible way of removing NO from the exhaust of a gasoline engine is to cause it to
react with CO in the presence of a suitable catalyst.
2NO(g) + 2CO(g) N2(g) + 2CO2(g)
At 300 °C, this reaction has Kc = 2.2 × 1059. What is KP at 300 °C?

4. The reaction CO(g) + 2H2(g ) CH3OH(g) has H° = -18 kJ. How will the amount of
CH3OH present at equilibrium be affected by the following changes?
(a) Adding CO(g)
(b) Removing H2(g )
(c) Decreasing the volume of the container
(d) Adding a catalyst
(e) Increasing the temperature

5. At a certain temperature, Kc = 0.18 for the equilibrium

PCl3(g) + Cl2(g) PCl5(g)

Suppose a reaction vessel at this temperature contained these three gases at the
following concentrations: [PCl3] = 0.0420 M, [Cl2] = 0.0240 M, [PCl5] = 0.00500 M.

(a) Compute the reaction quotient and use it to determine whether the system is in a
state of equilibrium.
(b) If the system is not at equilibrium, in which direction will the reaction proceed to get
to equilibrium?

6. The reaction 2HCl(g) H2(g) + Cl2(g) has Kc = 3.2 × 10-34 at 25 °C. If a reaction vessel
contains initially 0.0500 mol L-1 of HCl and then reacts to reach equilibrium, what will be
the concentrations of H2 and Cl2?
7. For the reaction below, KP = 1.6 × 106 at 400.0 °C.
HCHO2( g) CO( g) + H2O(g)

A mixture of CO(g) and H2O(l) was prepared in a 2.00 L reaction vessel at 25 °C in which
the pressure of CO was 0.177 atm. The mixture also contained 0.391 g of H2O. The vessel
was sealed and heated to 400 °C. When equilibrium was reached, what was the partial
pressure of the HCHO2 at 400 °C?

8. At 460 °C, the reaction: SO2(g ) + NO2(g ) NO(g ) + SO3( g) has Kc = 85.0.
If 0.0255 mol of SO2, 0.0600 mol of NO2, 0.0800 mol of NO, and 0.0446 mol of SO3 are
placed in a 10.0 L container at this temperature, how many grams of each gas will be
present when the mixture reaches equilibrium? What will the total pressure of the
system be at equilibrium?
