INTODUCTION

Batanes State College is one of the primarily institution here in Batanes w/c offer degree courses
from Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management up to Bachelor of Science in Agriculture,
also Batanes State College offers a vocational course w/c is theComputer Hardware Servicing
(NC II) and a two year general preparatory course in Engineering with the consortium of the
Cagayan State university. Because of this, the number of enrollee increases every year which
mainly come from the six (6) different municipalities. It has enrollees also from the nearby
Calayan Islands and other provinces in Northern Luzon. In the past few years, Batanes State
College was practicing the manual enrollment system or what we called “ Paper based
Transaction” which is very consuming and time consuming in the part of the students in the
sense that they are going to fill out a seven pages registration form which in fact, the content of
each page areal most the same. As a result, one of the instructors of the ITE department
developed a computerized enrollment system which tends to replace the manual enrollment
system in “Paperless Transaction” which will lessen the workload and provides accurate
information needed of the school. As a result, it will benefit not only the students but the
administration as a whole.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The Computerized Enrollment System must answer the ff. problems:1.

How fast the data entered are being processed?2.

How secure are the data being inputted to the system?3.

How the system generates timely information about the student?

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

The proponent creates the following objectives about the study:1.

To be able to know how the system works.2.

To be able to create recommendation and conclusion about the system.3.

To be able to know how the developed system changed the manual enrolment system in to
paperless transaction.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONSCOPE

The Computerized Enrollment System covers the major processes in Batanes State College
namely: registration of the current and incoming students, class scheduling, sectioning, and
reports needed. Since one of the specific objectives of the system is to secure the data being
inputted to the databases, the system would allow two user accounts which are the faculty and
the registrar. Faculty user account would only access some features of the developed system. On
the other hand, registrar can access every feature of the system.
DELIMITATION
The computerized Enrollment System does not include the payment of tuition fees,
account/payment processing and it cannot determine if the student was already paid his/her
payment or not. The cashier will be the one who will print the summary of students with unpaid
accounts and sent them to the respective department chairman.

METHODOLOGY
1.

Interview

The proponent conducted an interview with Mr. Randall G. Castillo to gain full knowledge of the
developed system, the process of acquiring and retrieving information, updating and security of
the file.2.

Observation

The proponent observes the actual transaction and processing done by the developed system.
ANALYSIS OF DATA
The data collected will undergo analization in order to gather accurate and relevant information
about the newly developed Computerized Enrollment System.
RECOMMENDATION
The first thing that can recommend to the computerized enrollment system is that the security
feature must be improved so that it is not vulnerable to the backdoor hacker. Second, the
computerized enrollment system must include the assessment of fees, which will be useful to the
cashier for it will lessen her time in changing the values at the Microsoft excel.
CONCLUSION
After my observations about the newly developed Computerized EnrollmentSystem, I conclude
that it is now 60 % functional in terms of adding and saving data andalso in printing reports.
