Sound Production notes

Sound production means how all of the sounds in a movie or television show
are made and put together.
It makes sure that the sound flows well with the scene. For example, if there’s
static in the background or a person’s voice is out of sync with the video of
them talking, it can be very distracting for the audience.
When recording a television show or a movie, the sound always starts with a
small group of people called the sound department, which is made up of the
sound mixer, the actors that provide dialogue or movement, and wild sound
that is any extra dialogue or sounds that are made in post-production and
added in later. Lastly, there is room tone which is that atmospheric sound in
the space that is recorded.
There is also a boom operator who holds the microphone on a long boom pole
over the across. The actors wear mics.
