360 Deg View

You are watching the 360 degree rotational view of Bus Duct Assembly. The Bus Duct
Assembly consists of Enclosure assembly, Communicable Epoxy Insulator Assembly and
Conductor assembly.
CT Assembly
The assembly of Bus Duct starts with the Enclosure Assembly. First, O-Ring 108X6 is placed in
the groove provided for Gas Port assembly on the side of Enclosure. Subsequently, Gas Filling
Flange is placed over it. This assembly is fastened with M8 X 20 allen bolts with ? Torque.
After that, Gas Port is assembled and tightened using M6X20 Allen bolts with ? Torque. Next
step in the assembly sequence is the communicable epoxy insulator Assembly. HT Shield is
fitted on the inside of communicable epoxy insulator and fastened with M12X40 Allen bolts
with ? Torque and spring washers using Allen key of size M10. Center and holes of the epoxy
insulator and HT Shield are to be matched properly. Vacuum silicone grease is applied over
the O-Ring 570X10 that is now put inside the groove of epoxy insulator.
Assembly of Multilam and rails
Rail for Multilam contacts is inserted into the grooves of the conductor by pressing the teeth
carefully using wooden rod. The teeth of rail pairs should be facing each other. Subsequently
Multilam contact is slid between the rails. It is to be ensured that multilam rows run in
opposite directions. Length of the rail should have 2 teeth less than groove length for proper
insertion of multilam. In the next step, the communicable epoxy insulator assembly is lifted
with Crane and eye bolts and fixed to one end of the Bus Duct Enclosure. This assembly is
then fastened with M16X55 stainless steel bolts with ? Torque and spring washers while
tightening diametrically opposite bolts , using M16 spanner.

After that, conductor with multilam and rails is inserted into the HT Shield . Subsequently, the
2nd communicable epoxy insulator assembly is done. HT Shield is fitted on the outside of the
communicable epoxy insulator and fastened with M12X40 Allen Bolts with ? Torque and
spring washers using Allen key of size M10. Center and holes of the epoxy insulator and HT
Shield are to me matched properly. Next, O-Ring 570X10 is put inside the groove of bus duct
enclosure. The communicable epoxy insulator subassembly is then lifted with Crane and eye-
bolts and assembled with the open end of the enclosure. The assembly is then fastened with
M16X55 stainless steel bolts & spring washers with ? Torque while tightening diametrically
opposite bolts using M16 spanner. In the next step, HT shield is fixed on the outside of the
communicable epoxy insulator and fastened using M12X40 Allen bolts with ? Torque. Further,
HT Shield is fixed on the other end on the communicable epoxy insulator and fastened with
M12X40 Allen bolts with ? Torque using M10 Allen key.
