OBJECTIVE:

The objective of this assignment is to provide students the opportunity to apply project quality
management in a real world project environment.

INSTRUCTIONS:

You are required to develop a report on two assessed tasks to achieve the assessment
criteria which are set out in the marking rubric. It is acceptable to use the opinions and
judgments of project professionals to support your work.

QUESTION

The ISO 9000 series of standards addresses quality management system that includes ISO
9000, ISO 9001 and ISO 9004. ISO 9001 is a specification standard may be listed as ISO
9001:2008 to indicate the 2008 edition. Many international customers favour supplier that are
certified by a Third Party Quality Auditor.

Pursuant to this statement, as a Project Quality Manager, you are instructed by your company
to prepare for a Third Party Quality Audit for ISO 9001:2008 Certification.

TASK

The assignment consists of TWO (2) interrelated tasks which are to be adhered strictly. The
required tasks and marks are based on the rubric.

TASK 1

Prepare a report and elaborate in detail the steps that you will undertake to prepare the
company for this audit.

TASK 2

Discuss the problems that you will anticipate in preparing the audit and how you will overcome
these problems.

Introduction, literature survey, steps and plans for the audit, problems analysis and solutions,
summary and references.

REFERENCES

You can refer to any references (books, module, internet, journal and others). Remember to cite
the source of references in your report.
