Introduction
What’s This?
Well, because you are reading this, you probably already know what this is about.
Today many digital devices and software plugins use Impulse Responses to recreate the
characteristics of different rooms, mics or guitar cabinets. This IR collection is all about
guitar cabs.

If you’ve ever tried any IR libraries before you know how easy it is to spend hours while
scrolling through hundreds of files and listening to all of them looking for the right tone.
This pack is made simple yet flexible and effective. We didn’t create any non-existing
combinations of speakers, nor didn’t we use dozens of fancy mics. We used only two, a
condenser mic and a classic dynamic mic. Also, when it was possible, a matching power
amplifier was used.

Structure
The library is preformatted and ready-to-use with the following platforms:

• AMT Electronics Pangaea CP-100 (files are trimmed to 1024 samples)

• AMT Electronics Pangaea CP-100FX (files are trimmed to 4096 samples)

Files for other platforms are provided in the Other Platforms folder (150 ms long IRs).

If you’ve downloaded an IR multipack or the full library, you’ll find the best sounding profile
of each cab in the Preview folder. Check it first, chances are that those IRs will satisfy
your needs. Otherwise proceed to Cabs folder to find 10 different mic positions for each
combination of mic and cab.

File format
All IRs are 24-bit mono 48 kHz .wav files.

File names have the following format:

• Manufacturer_Model_Configuration_Speaker_Mic_Mic position.wav

Example: MA 1960A 4x12 G12T-75 Cond Edge 2’’.wav

Mic positions are labeled accordingly in each profile’s name.

Mics
Cond is based on a Studio Projects B1 condenser microphone.

Dyn is based on a Shure SM57 dynamic microphone.

Installation
AMT Pangaea CP-100
• Connect Pangaea CP-100 to the computer using USB cable

• Navigate to Pangaea’s internal storage, pick a Bank where you want to install the library
and clear its contents removing all Preset folders (you may want to backup those first)

• Unpack the library you’ve downloaded and navigate to “TrueCab IR for AMT
Pangaea CP-100” folder

• Pick the cab you want to install, let’s say “MA 1960A Cond”, and copy its contents
(all Preset folders) into Pangaea’s Bank you’ve chosen before

• Install other cabs using the same procedure

• Safely disconnect Pangaea from the computer

• Connect the microSD card you use with Pangaea CP-100FX into your computer and
navigate to “IMPULSE” folder

• Unpack the library you’ve downloaded and navigate to “TrueCab IR for AMT
Pangaea CP-100FX” folder

• Copy “TrueCab IR for AMT Pangaea CP-100FX” folder or individual cabinet

libraries into the “IMPULSE” folder on the microSD card. You’re free to sort the files
and folders on the memory card any way you want, you’ll be able to navigate through
them using Pangaea’s browser

Other platforms
Even though TrueCab IR was developed specifically for AMT Electronics devices, it will
work perfectly with any other IR compatible hardware or software that supports 24-bit mono
48 kHz .wav format.

• Unpack the library you’ve downloaded and navigate to “TrueCab IR for Other
Platforms” folder. Inside you’ll find IRs sorted by cabinet’s name

• Check your device’s manual for installation instructions
