2018 GOALS, PLANS and DELIVERABLES

1. Commit to teach and spread technopreneurship throughout the country.

TECHNOPRENEURSHIP - a simple entrepreneurship in a technology intensive

context. It is a process of merging technology prowess and entrepreneurial talent and
skills.

Technopreneur is the person who destroys the existing economic order by introducing,
new products and services, by creating new forms of organizations and by exploiting
new raw materials. It is someone who perceives an opportunity and creates an
organization to pursue it. A person who undertakes risks that has the chance of profit.
Technopreneurs distinguishes themselves through their ability to accumulate and
manage knowledge, as well as their ability to mobilized resources to achieve a specified
business or social goal.

For the City of Balanga, Technopreneurship is synonymous to tech startups.

2. Conduct forums, workshops and competition that will educate people

(particularly, students and young professionals) about the fundamentals of
startups, and other related fields.

Topics:
A. Fundamentals of Startups (Definition, Impact to the Society, Real Examples)
B. Business Model Canvas – an Innovative Way to Plot your Business (Definition,
Components)
C. Pitching 101 – Basics and strategies to sell out your ideas, products/services to
investors, seed funders, customers, etc.
D. Branding and Prototyping – How to catch the market through striking brand names
(Prototyping may be included, however would best fit for the Lipat Kaaalman Program)

3. Facilitate a Pitching Competition, where winners and potential ideas will be

given incubation support through the Startup Incubation VAC.

itself is feasible)

programs
Through:

and features)
