Analog Design Using Verilog AMS | UVLSIBC-1007

Course Objective
The intent of Verilog-AMS is to let designers of analog and mixed-signal systems andcircuits create and use models that describe their
designs. Once a design is describedin Verilog-AMS, simulators are used to help designers better understand and verify their designs.
Verilog-AMS allows designs to be described at the same level as does SPICE, but at the same time allows designs to also be described at
higher more abstract levels. This range is needed for the larger more complex mixed-signal designs that are becoming commonplace today.

Analog and Mixed Signal Design | UVLSIBC-1008

Course Objective
This course covers the fundamentals of transistor-level analog integrated circuit design. The course starts with an overview of modern
analog integrated circuit design, tools used for analog design, component variations and practical design paradigms. Starting from this
background, the course objectives are to introduce principles of analog integrated-circuit analysis, modeling and design at the transistor
level with an emphasis on CMOS technology. Integrated-circuit DC biasing techniques are presented starting from simple to more complex
circuits such as single stage amplifiers, current mirrors, leading to analysis and design of current and voltage references. Temperature and
power supply sensitivity, as well as absolute and mismatch parameter variations are introduced. Further objectives are to gain
understanding of circuit configurations and design principles in operational amplifiers, wide-bandwidth amplifiers, and feedback amplifiers.

Course Objective
As LTE is defined as an all-IP network without any CS network elements, it is necessary for 4G LTE operators to provide voice service using all-
IP network using Voice over IP (VoIP) concept. Due to above reasons we are in time to utilize technology known as VoLTE (Voice over LTE)
which is based on IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) framework and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), and is the
preferred solution for delivering voice in LTE networks. It has become essential for all LTE operators to go with VoLTE in order to provide
voice services using their same LTE network using VoLTE technology. This course details the techniques followed in VoLTE in order to achieve
seamless voice call & video call services to and fro among LTE & LTE, LTE & 3G and LTE & 2G networks.

EPC Overview | UTELBC-403

Course Objective
The goal of the LTE SAE from the 3GPP is to achieve a high-data-rate, low-latency, packet-optimised system that supports multiple access
technologies. Long Term Evolution, as defined in the 3GPP Release 8 standards, has described both an evolved Radio Access Network (E-
UTRAN) and a new core network strategy termed SAE - System Architecture Evolution. The new core network is key to achieve the level of
performance that LTE must deliver with the sort of low delay across the network that has been hitherto unachievable with GPRS and UMTS.
This is a specialised two day course which covers the major area of LTE's (Long Term Evolution) evolved core network called SAE (Systems
Architecture Evolution). The main part of SAE is the Evolved Packet Core (EPC), otherwise known as the SAE Core.

Embedded Systems Developer | UEMBCC-3001

Course Objective
In today's world, embedded systems are everywhere -- homes, offices, cars, factories, hospitals, plans and consumer electronics. Their huge
numbers and new complexity call for a new design approach, one that emphasizes high-level tools and hardware/software tradeoffs, rather
than low-level assembly-language programming and logic design.
This course presents the traditionally distinct fields of software and hardware design in a new unified approach. It covers trends and
challenges, introduces the design and use of single-purpose processors ("hardware") and general-purpose processors ("software"),
describes memories and buses, illustrates hardware/software tradeoffs using real-time examples, and discusses advanced computation
models, control systems, chip technologies, and modern design tools.
