Course Objective
The intent of Verilog-AMS is to let designers of analog and mixed-signal systems andcircuits create and use models that describe their
designs. Once a design is describedin Verilog-AMS, simulators are used to help designers better understand and verify their designs.
Verilog-AMS allows designs to be described at the same level as does SPICE, but at the same time allows designs to also be described at
higher more abstract levels. This range is needed for the larger more complex mixed-signal designs that are becoming commonplace today.

VLSI - Workshops | Boot-Camps 16
Course Objective
This course covers the fundamentals of transistor-level analog integrated circuit design. The course starts with an overview of modern
analog integrated circuit design, tools used for analog design, component variations and practical design paradigms. Starting from this
background, the course objectives are to introduce principles of analog integrated-circuit analysis, modeling and design at the transistor
level with an emphasis on CMOS technology. Integrated-circuit DC biasing techniques are presented starting from simple to more complex
circuits such as single stage amplifiers, current mirrors, leading to analysis and design of current and voltage references. Temperature and
power supply sensitivity, as well as absolute and mismatch parameter variations are introduced. Further objectives are to gain
understanding of circuit configurations and design principles in operational amplifiers, wide-bandwidth amplifiers, and feedback amplifiers.

Course Objective
Embedded Linux Development is designed to give experienced programmers a solid understanding of adapting the Linux kernel and
customized user-space libraries and utilities to embedded applications such as those in use in consumer electronics, military, medical,
industrial, and auto industries. This Boot-camps includes extensive hands-on exercises and demonstrations designed to give you the
necessary tools to develop an embedded Linux device.
Teaching Methodology
Online Linux Training / Live instructor-led sessions
Course Outline
Course Objective
This course targets engineers who wish to develop or improve device drivers in the Linux kernel, for projects on embedded platforms, or on
the traditional PC platform. In five days, through theory and practical labs, the course makes you familiar with the essentials of kernel
development: kernel architecture, the main APIs, integration of device drivers with other parts of the kernel and with user applications.

8/16-bit processors run on old architectures; which make it tend towards slowness. It also has a low limit on supported RAM/other storage.
Whereas 32-bit microcontroller architectures can replace 8/16-bit systems without a cost increase for embedded solution with a boost in
RAM size and performance. The course is designed for engineers developing software for platforms based around the ARM cortex –M0
processors. The course includes an introduction to the ARM product range, cortex-M0 cores, programmer's model, Instruction set
architecture.
Course Outline
Course Objective
With the growing importance of the embedded systems, the need to design embedded applications with microcontrollers having advanced
features is gaining prominence. ARM, an Advanced RISC Machine is emerging as one of the prominent standard for embedded RISC
processing across communication, networking, consumer, portable, automotive and multimedia application markets. ARM offers an array
of cores, architectural extensions, microprocessors and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions, all using common software architecture. There is a
growing need for embedded engineers to understand and work with the ARM Processor Family Architecture and software development
tools. This workshop will enable participants to understand ARM Cortex-M3 architectures, its programming and its various peripherals.
Course Outline
Course Objective
The intent of this workshop is to be at a place where a person with a few C skills and some microcontroller experience can familiarize them
self with the Tiva C Series parts, Code Composer Studio, TivaWare for C Series and the process of programming these microcontrollers. This
workshop will enable participants to understand ARM Cortex-M4 architectures, its programming and its various peripherals.
Course Outline
C Programming | UEMBBC-3108
Course Objective
This course is a fast-paced introduction to the C programming language, with an emphasis on good programming practices and how to be
an effective programmer in these languages. Participants are introduced to all major language elements including fundamental data types,
flow control, and standard function libraries.
Course Outline
Course Objective
This is a fast-paced introductory course to the C++ programming language. It is intended for those with little programming background,
though prior programming experience will make it easier, and those with previous experience will still learn C++-specific constructs and
concepts
Course Outline
Course Objective
C Programming Deep Dive course aims to progress individuals and give them a fuller appreciation of the more advanced aspects of the
language. Due to the requirements for programming real-time embedded systems, this course goes beyond just addressing the language
issues and explores compile, link and run-time issues
Course Outline
Course Objective
This course is an introduction to software engineering, using the Java™ programming language. Students will learn the fundamentals of
Java. The focus is on developing high quality, working software that solves real problems.
