Comments
Mrs. Flores has a very gentle disposition and she uses a positive attitude when conveying to students what the expectations are as she begins to teach the various component parts of the curriculum
(choral reading in Reading/Writing Workshop, Read Aloud, supporting students on 100th Day of School). She compliments students on work well done and/or work completion, good answers, re-directs
to set expectations of student (s), Echo Read Aloud expectations. She has a positive attitude when working with the 2 lowest students in the classroom. First lesson (2/6), she explained the
expectations, what students would learn, and objective of lesson.
Comments
Mrs. Flores has assessed students in the classroom and exhibits fairness to all students she has contact with. She will be attending her first IEP meeting (with permission of the parent), to determine if
one of the students in the classroom has qualified for Resource. She understands that matters of this nature are confidential. She also sat in on a parent conference this week and listened in on the
difficult nature of having to convey to a parent that their child is not meeting the responsibilities with homework, reading, and spelling at home.
Comments
Mrs. Flores exercises a positive role model on a daily basis. She has taken responsibility for behaviors she has seen in students and uses sound judgment for students and whether there should be a
consequence exercised.

Comments
I have shared with Mrs. Flores the importance of self-reflection and its importance each time she teaches and as she continues to grow as a teacher. I give Mrs. Flores constructive criticism, when
necessary, and she understands what I am trying to convey to her. She receives the information willingly and I’ve asked her to take the time to watch her very first videotaped lesson, looking out for
areas of improvement.
Comments
Mrs. Flores did a great job promoting curiosity with her first videotaped lesson during her anticipatory set. Students were curious about the realia she used in her lesson and her pictures she shared with
reference to the avocado. She encourages students to “think” before, during, and after her Read Alouds, Echo Reads, and Choral Reads. During pair-sharing, she allows for proper wait time to let
students think and share their opinions/answers.

Comments
Mrs. Flores is an honest person. Students trust her. She is receptive to them. Students gravitate to her knowing that her words will bring an action. I did tell Mrs. Flores that in a class teachers must
mean what they say and say what they mean. Although they are first graders, they will not easily forget what gets shared in the classroom.
Comments
Mrs. Flores demonstrates friendliness, warmth, and genuine warmth for all students in the class. As she begins to really know all students, she openly supports any student with the help he/she may
need.

Comments
I (Mrs. Garcia) am on Leadership for my grade level. I am hoping that Mrs. Flores gets to sit in on a leadership meeting with our principal. She is eager to learn all aspects of the school/educational
setting. She understands that its so much more than just what goes on in the classroom.
Comments
Mrs. Flores exhibits qualities that would make her a strong candidate for a teaching position in the elementary setting. She does the best that she can given what she has learned in her classes and in
the classroom these past 3 weeks. I am very proud of her accomplishments and with her very first evaluation. She will continue to grow as a student teacher as the weeks progress!
