BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Introduction

With healthy and sustainable economic growth, coupled with strong consumer purchasing

power, the Philippines is becoming an increasingly attractive prospect for car manufacturers. The

Philippine automotive industry ended 2017 with a 17.66% increase as sales totaled 473,943 units

amid a backdrop of uncertainty and panic over a landmark tax reform law which would impose

additional excise taxes in 2018. The total sales figure is based on consolidated reports from

Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), the Truck

Manufacturers Association (TMA), and the Association of Vehicle Importers and Distributors

(AVID).

Automobile transportation makes up for the majority of our travel every day. One of the

main reasons why cars have become more prevalent and important is because it is an easy mode

of transportation. As the most widely accepted method of transportation, cars have changed the

way people live all over the world. They have affected all aspects of society such as family life,

the economy, and even the environment. It is hard to find a movie, book, or TV show that does not

have some type of automobile in it. The advancement of automobiles over time has directly

affected the advancement of society as a whole. Over the generations automobiles have influenced

every aspect of society in many ways and have changed to keep up with the times.
 The great automobile has made the aftermarket what it is today. The automobile

aftermarket such as car wash and repair business hasn’t stopped shifting and changing, right along

with the dynamic of the automobile. With such a rapidly-changing market, this industry does not

lend itself to business as usual. Those within it must keep up with all the changes and

advancements.

Automatic Car Wash is an area or structure equipped with facilities for washing

automobiles. Use of a professional car wash versus washing at home continues to grow. The

International Carwash Association has been measuring where vehicles are washed most

frequently since 1996, and the use of professional car washes continues to grow each year. In the

2014 study, professional car washing was used most frequently among 71.6% of consumers (up

from 68.2% in 2011).

Only a professional car wash can provide the proper amounts of water and water pressure

needed along with the appropriate soaps and waxes to safely and effectively clean your vehicle.

Objective of the Study

General Objectives:

The main objective of this study is to aim and determine the feasibility of

ESTABLISHMENT OF ONE-STOP AUTOMATED CAR WASH IN NASUGBU,

BATANGAS.

Specific objectives.

1. To determine the feasibility and marketability of the proposed business in term of market

gap, demand and supply of the study.

2. To determine the technical aspects of the proposed business.

3. To know the organization structure and the nature of the managing the proposed business.

4. To determine the projected financial performance and provide a financial statement of the

proposed business.

5. To determine the sicial desirability and its possible contribution to the local communitu of

the proposed business.

Nasugbu, Batngas contain the brief background of the study which give an idea of what kind of

service may the proponent offer to their proposed business.

Definition of Terms

Automatic Car Wash - process which used to clean the exterior part of the car.
Automobile - is road vehicle typically with four wheels, powered by an intrrnal combustion

engine or electric motor and carry number of people.

Carwash - a building containing equipment for washing motor vehecles automatically.

Driver - a person who drive a vehicle.

Driving - the conrol and operatio of a motor vehicle.

Establishment - a business or other organization or the place where qn organization operation.

Facility - a place or piece of equipment provide for a particular porpuse.

Foam Applicator - applies a detergent to the car that becomes a deep-cleaning foam on contact.

High Pressure Water - is a system of rotating water jets that sprayed convenerated steams of

water on to the car.

One-Stop - providing or offering a comprehensive range of service at one location.

Wash - clean with water and, typically, soap or detergent.
