ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

Graduates will be prepared with a solid foundation in mathematics, sciences, and technical skills
needed to analyze and design environmental engineering systems.

COURSE OUTCOMES:

Code Name of the Course Outcome

An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within

CO1
realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical,
health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
CO2 An ability to identify, formulate, and solve environmental problems by following
the engineering tool
CO3 An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility with respect to
environment
Graduates will have an ability to design environmental engineering systems that
CO4 include considerations such as risk, uncertainty, sustainability, life-cycle
principles, and environmental impacts
Graduates will understand contemporary issues within the environmental
CO5 engineering profession and be aware of how those issues impact environmental
engineering practice.
CO6 An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary
for environmental engineering practice
