5.5.7 Observe where the tip of the probe makes contact with the fixture, see figure 11.

Figure 11: Offset Position Fixture

5.5.8 Record the sample pipettor Offset value depending where the probe touches the fixture.

Note: If the probe touches the outer ring of the fixture, the pitch of the pipettor arm will need to be adjusted as referenced in
Chapter 9 of the Service Manual.

Warning: All pipettor configurations must be verified if the pitch of the pipettor requires adjustment. Ensure the probe
remains centered at the “Blind Hole” as off-centering may cause splashing and or poor washing.

5.5.9 Remove the reaction cup holding the fixture and move the pipettor (X and Z) to the “Test Unit” position.
5.5.10 Using the “One Step” button, move the pipettor in the CCW direction the amount of steps determined for
offset.
5.5.11 Ensure the probe is a minimum of 2 Steps from touching the Transfer Cover plate. This will ensure
sufficient clearance from the Transfer Cover when dispensing at the offset position.
5.5.12 Repeat steps 5.6.3 through 5.6.11 for the Reagent Pipettor.
5.5.13 Browse into the C:\dpc\C directory and double select Filetransfer.exe.
5.5.14 Using the “File Transfer” menu, select Copy Files followed by the Control to User PC option.
