Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing

On 11OfMarch, I was teaching a lesson about a letter (D) for KG1-A fronts my MST, Ms. Wafa. Through

that lesson, I taught the students how to write a letter (D), how to compare between capital and lower case

(D d). Furthermore, they knew the words start by letter (D), each student wrote a letter (D) on the paper,

showed them flash cards contain the pictures and the names of the pictures even the students know the

words start by letter (D).

Who is the lesson for?

About letter (D).

Where did the lesson take place?

In the classroom (KG1-A).

What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?

By explaining the lesson, I achieved the goals that I wanted to achieve it. Such as eye contact, develop my

language, time management and control about their behavior.

What did the students do?

I noticed the students were very happy and so active in the classroom because I used activities which

excited students. For example, the high level, they made a play dough ball. Then, put it on letter D.

average level, traced letter D by play dough. But the low level, created letter D by play dough.

Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?

I noticed the students were very active because the students in these ages like to coloring, like to play with

play dough and like to find. For example, I let them to find the names start by letter (D) around the

classroom.

How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?

At the end of the lesson, I showed them some pictures start by letter (D). Also, I asked them to give me the
words start by letter (D). So, through that, I observed they were understand the lesson.

How well did you engage the students?

I let the student sing ABCD song before we start the lesson to motivate them.

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?

Yes, by explaining the lesson, I achieved the goals that I wanted to achieve it. For instance, delivered

information to children in a fast and enjoyable way. For example, using the activities that based on their

levels by used the colors and play dough. Also, taught the students how to write and how to read.

Furthermore, taught them how to find and thinking.

How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?

So, to enhance letter (D) more in the student's minds. In the end, give the whole class chance to write the

letter at the same time by using small paper to I make sure the students learned how to write a letter (G).

What are the implications for your professional practice?

- I learned how to control about the students behavior.

- Eye contact.
- I learned how to create the activities that based on students levels.
