Straight away subjection to nepotism and injustice by Superintendent (Recruitment) Mr. Malik
Muhammad Afsar during recruitment test held against the post of Research Assistant (BS 16) on
12/12/17

Respected sir ,

Today a test against the recruitment for the post of Research Assistant (BPS-16) was held at AIOU
academic block after a year of delay. the posts were announced in autumn 2016 with a test fee of
around 500 Rs and eligibility requirement for the post was a Bachelor degree from a HEC recognized
institute.

respected sir i had done BS (hons) (4years) in telecommunication from UET Peshawar my graduation
was completed in July 2016 (7/2016) after which a course completion certificate countersigned by
university Chairman Dr Shahbaz khan was issued in which the graduation completion date is clearly
mentioned (Attached) . i applied for my degree issuance right after my graduation but since you know
that the issuance of degree takes about 4-5 months time so the candidate in meanwhile can apply for
the posts with this course completion certificate issued by chairman. so same as every student i was
issued my degree in december 2016.

I prepared well for the test , when received my roll number for the test it was mentioned that candidate
have to provide original documents as a proof before the tests . so i took my all original documents with
myself . but just few minutes before the test starts , randomly about 7-8 candidates from each exam
room , in which i was one off , were called to Superintendent (Recruitment) office to show documents
. Mr afsar checked my all documents tranccipt , degree etc and all were complete so he handed back to
me but on asking to go and sit back in test as its already being late , he objected me by saying no you can
go back to home you cant sit in test when i ask for the reason he just said " your degree is issued after
you had applied for the post !so you cant sit in the test ". since it was not any logical excuse to not
allow me for test nor it make any sense since everyone knows original degree issuance takes time.. so i
just asked him to point any single place on advertisement where this was written in eligibility criteria
but he refused moreover i not only showed him that university certificate clearly stating the completion
of my graduation in june 2016 , but also offer him to talk directly to my University Head of department
and get confirmed. but he refused and rudely just told me to go out by saying "no i wont let you sit in
the test". and here i would like to mention i was not alone to experience this all only with the exception
of few which he allowed on personal favour , i think the almost the same was done with most of the
candidates there .

Beside being fully eligible for the contest these rejections of candidates just on a lame excuses , i do not
know either it was done just to humiliate candidates coming from far off places for the test and to show
them the real abuse of power of authority , of a public sector university or it was a way to increase the
chances of already internally adjusted favourite candidates to settle them on the posts , by minimizing
the overall candidates contesting for the posts.

i am attaching all the necessary documents needed , and sir i request you kindly inquire deep in to this
matter , since seeing such a non-professional personals at such higher position along with their these ill
- practices , itself not only "questions" the overall recruitment process of a institution , but also over the
ultimate credibility and repute of a federal Public sector university.
