Introduction

Do you feel bored when you do not have any idea where can buy the item
you want and at the same time you want to compare the prices with other
supermarkets to buy it with the cheapest price? Yes, it is bored because you
need go every single supermarket for survey the prices and also need use a
lot of time to find the item that you want in the complex supermarket. It is
wasting time. Hence, our project ‘Items Survey System’ is proposed to help
people due to the fact that it replaces the physical survey that a person would
have done which may cost time and money. In other way, it can be say that
the system can help user save some time to find an items and save money
like the customer especially new comers in a certain area to physically go to
the places he is going to have an opportunity to review the area and prices
and so on. However, our system can save money but it cannot do payment
transaction. Besides that, our systems can be related to industry revolution
4.0. For example, we use QR codes (Quick Response code) in our system to
store the information of the items such as expired date, ingredient and actual
price and when user scan it, it will deliver information about the items that
have already been stored in the cloud. It is much more related to Internet of
Thing (IoT).

Objective

1. Give the location and detail of items to users to help user can search their
items in a short period.

2. Budget setting like when the user over budget, the notification will be
given.

3. Develop QR code (Quick Response code) to store the information of the

items and users can easily know the information of items when scan it
Criteria or description of the system

The items survey system is very helpful for users which are can't made the
decision, seldom go out to shopping and do not want to waste the time for
searching the items in a complex supermarket.

The system included:

1. QR code is developed to store the information of the items like location,
price of the item, and detail about items such as expired date, ingredient and
what country produce it.
2. The prices are displayed as Ringgit Malaysia.
3. Able to show the prices after discount and before of each item and the
prices that the user need to pay.
4. Message is given when the user is over budget setting during choosing the
products.
5. After finish choosing, a list about the location, price of each items and the
total price will be send to user’s phone through email or message.
6. Payment transaction cannot used in system.

Conclusion

As a conclusion, our system will make the users easier to compare the items
they want to buy so that they can make a better choice before purchasing the
item. ‘Items Survey System’ mainly using the QR code to operate. With the
aid of the QR code, it offers a quick response mechanism that saves users
the effort of typing in a URL or an SMS short-code. The only thing the users
need to have is to download a QR reader application in their mobile first
before they can use them. The QR reader application will help the users to
scan the QR code. The QR code will guide the user to the cloud storage,
which has all the information of the items. Then, the information about the
items from the cloud storage will be delivering to the user’s phone through
email or message. ‘Items Survey System’ will help users find the items they
need more quickly and to make shopping easier, faster and more accessible.
