WE are an EWRB approved provider and examination centre, and provide the
training, practical assessments and examinations for the following courses:
• Electrical Appliance Serviceperson (EAS)
• Electrical Appliance Serviceperson [Endorsed] (EASQ)
• Electrical Service Technician (EST)
Training Program
The training programme is one of managed and supervised self-paced learning, with mentorship contact
at contact sessions on Wednesday from 12.00am to 6.30 p.m. The course modules are provided as a
series of learning modules, in accordance with the Examination and Practical Assessment requirements
prescribed by the EWRB.

Important facts:
1. In order to write the examination, you are required to have completed a course of
instruction and provide evidence that you have done so. It is not necessary that you
complete the course with us, even though we do provide the appropriate training and
preparation. If you need any additional information on our courses, please feel free to
contact us.
2. Students that fail to complete and return at least 60% of the preparation work
prior to the block course will be transferred to the next available course.
Administration Fees May Apply.
3. If you want to either withdraw from a course, or transfer to another course, you may do
so, subject to completion of a withdrawal/transfer application not less than 5 working
days prior to the commencement of the course (available on request from ETEC)
together with a payment of an administration fee of 10% or $ 100.00 whichever is the
lesser. If this application is received after this period but before the block course
starts you will also forfeit the exam fee. Once the block course starts, no application
for withdrawal or transfer will be considered except in exceptional circumstances. The date
of withdrawal or transfer is the date of submission of notification.
4. Any refund that you may be entitled to will be calculated as follows: Course fee minus
the required administration fee and cost of documentation provided.
5. When you attend the course, you should bring the following with you:
5.1. Essential hand tools – the tools that you use every day.
5.2. Personal protective clothing and equipment.
5.3. Your test instruments – specifically multi-meter, clamp meter and line tester. If you
have an insulation tester, bring this also.
5.4. We will provide a comprehensive list upon enrolment.
6. Course times are as follows:
6.1. Block Course Days – 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
6.2. Examination Day – 8.30 a.m. to Examination Finish.
7. If you wish to apply for additional time for the examination, please ask for an application
form on Day 1 of the block course. An administration fee of $50.00 and any supporting
documentation must accompany the application form.
Failure to bring your tools or basic test instruments will mean that you will not be able to do
the practical assessments, as we will not provide tools or basic test instruments.

2 You will need to bring proof of identification with you on the Exam Day.
