Are you ready to go beyond estimation and its limitations? Want to model the
underlying variability of your deposit and understand the uncertainties in your
deposit?
Join us for this 3-day workshop on Conditional Simulation for Mineral Resources
Modelling!
Overview
For those interested in updating their Datamine Skills, or learning this software,
Datamine Peru offers a complimentary one-day training session on the new Studio
RM software and its enhanced capabilities.
Course Topics
The main
Th i ttopics
i covered
d iin thi
this course are:
• Data preprocessing for simulation: Declustering,
EDA, Normal Scores Transformation
• Variography with Normal Scores transformed
data (mostly as a refresher on variograms)
• Simulation set-up: cell size, search strategy and
parameters, multigrids, kriging type, how many
realizations?
• Simulation runs and checks including histogram
and variogram reproduction
• Post processing of realizations, Etype estimates,
ore/waste proportions and grades, upscaling of
realizations, Checking post processing results.
• Use of simulated model for resource classification
Who Should Attend?
and ore/waste delimitation
• Advanced topics (time permitting): Cosimulation This course is designed primarily for resource
of two variables. Overview of other types of geologists or geoscientists already involved in
simulation (available outside Datamine) including creating mineral resource models and reports. Mining
Sequential Indicator Simulation, Truncated engineers interested in understanding the impact of
Gaussian Simulation, Multiple Point Simulation grade uncertainty in the mine plans will also benefit
greatly from this training.
