Jen: Thank you so much. Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the 2016 Search for
Mr. and Ms. Pawa High School. What a fantastic opening it was Sir Joel and what a great group
of gorgeous and handsome candidates.
Joel: That’s right, Mam Jen. We’re looking forward to an exciting evening, which will culminate
with the announcement of the newest Mr. and Ms. Pawa High School. As they will serve as the
role models for the students, they should be well-spoken, talented, beautiful and of course
intelligent.
Jen: It sure is a tough fight between our twenty-five beautiful and handsome candidates. Tonight,
it will be a parade of talent, poise, grace, beauty and the most important factor, wit. After all, it’s
beauty that captures your attention but personality that captures your heart.
Joel: Tonight, you will see the contestants compete in their school, festival, sports and formal
wears. They will also have to undergo the very daunting question-and-answer portion to win the
crown of Mr. and Ms. Pawa High School 2016.
Jen: While our contestants are getting ready for their next exposure, we would like to welcome
the ever magnanimous, dedicated and passionate school of Pawa High School. Ladies and
gentlemen, to give her words of welcome, let us receive with a warm round of applause, our
beloved Madam Elvira Tusi- Belen.
(afterwards)
Joel: Thank you, Madam Belen for your words of encouragement to the candidates. I’m sure they
are all getting tensed at this point. I for sure will be tensed if I were in their position. Since we are
looking for the best man and woman to represent Pawa High School, our contestants will have to
go through a very selective judging process this evening. They will be judged according to the
following criteria:
(voice over)
Jen: Twenty-five exceptional men and women have dared to join the competition, vying for the
most coveted position of Mr. and Ms. Pawa High School. And what a tough choice it is! And here
to help us choose the most deserving candidates for the crown are our most able board of judges.
(voice over will introduce the judges)
Joel: The outcome of tonight’s competition rests upon their hands. I am glad not to be on your
seats for this evening because I am sure you will have a tough time. Our board of judges will of
course use their expertise to single out the best man and woman for the title of Mr. and Ms. Pawa
High School 2016.
Jen: Wooh! I can really feel the tension building up. (asks audience: Are you all getting excited,
too?) But of course, Sir Joel, aside from the judges, the audience will also have a big participation
in tonight’s competition. I am sure they will shout their voices hoarse cheering for their bets. Let
us hear it from the Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9 and Grade 10.
Joel: Yes. I am sure the audience is as tensed as our candidates backstage. Let us not prolong the
wait, Mam Jen.
Jen: I am already very excited, Sir Joel.
Joel: I think everyone is eagerly waiting to see our candidates once again. I think they are now all
ready. Ladies and gentlemen, let us welcome once again our twenty-five lovely and handsome
candidates, in the most symbolic wear they will put on tonight – their School Uniform.
(afterwards)
Joel: Thank you so much my dear candidates. Please remain on stage because at this point, we
shall be giving away the first set of awards for tonight’s competition.
Joan: We have six special awards to give away. Let us start with Mr. and Ms. Congeniality.
Joel: The Mr. and Ms. Congeniality is awarded to the friendliest and most accommodating
candidate of the group. The candidates were given the chance to vote among themselves who they
think deserves to win the award.

Joel: Let us start with the gentlemen shall we? Our Mr. Congeniality is candidate no. 1, James
Paul Balde. And our Ms. Congeniality is candidate no. 5, Mary Kritsine Villanueva.

Conference and Talent Competition at Pawa High School where they braved answering daunting
questions from the staffers of the Pawa Chronicle, Pawa High School’s official publication and
showcased different exhibitions of their unique talents. Four among our candidates stood out from
the rest during those events which made them the most deserving to be awarded the Man and
Darling of the Press and Best in Talent.
Jen: Let us start with the Man and Darling of the Press.

(voice over will read the award presenters)
Joel: And our Mr. Photogenic is candidate no. 6, Leonil Argones. And our Ms. Photogenic is

Jen: And our Best in Pictorial Pose Male Category is Candidate No. 5, John Paul Memoracion.
And our Best in Pictorial Pose Female Category is Candidate No. 5 Mary Kristine Villanueva.
Joan: Congratulations. As I mentioned a while ago, the judges are not the only ones having their
bets for tonight but especially the candidates’ supporters and the audience members themselves.
Joel: That’s right Mam Jen. We had an online voting via Pawa High School’s Official Facebook
Page where the supporters of our candidates liked their photos to show their support.
Jen: Also, the audience members dropped their voting stubs, which was included in their entrance
tickets, to the corresponding boxes of their favorite candidates as they were entering the venue a
while ago.
Joel: That’s right, Mam Jen. We tallied the candidates’ Facebook likes and ticket votes to
determine our Man and Darling of the Crowd.
(voice over will read the award presenters)
Joel: Our Man of the Crowd is candidate no.__________. Our Darling of the Crowd is candidate
no.__________.
Joan: Thank you so much candidates, you may proceed backstage to get ready for your next
exposure. We still have many awards to give away as the competition progresses but for now let
us thank our sponsors first for helping us realize tonight’s event.
(voice over thanks sponsors)
Joel: To give us a break from the competition’s tension, let us all welcome Ms. Lynce Mae Valerio,
a Grade 10 student to give us a song number entitled “You are My Song”. A big applause everyone.
(afterwards)
Joel: Thank you, Lynce for that heartfelt rendition of one of Asia’s Songbird most popular songs.
Once again, a loud round of applause for her, ladies and gentlemen.
Jen: At this juncture, we request everyone to direct their eyes to the big screen for an audio-visual
presentation of our Mr. and Ms. Pawa High School 2016 candidates.
(afterwards)
Jen: That video presentation, ladies and gentlemen, was prepared by the school’s ICT coordinator,
Mr. Jazeel Ernane Belbes.
Joel: And now, I think our candidates are now ready for their next exposure. At this juncture, our
candidates will don on their favorite sports attire. Once again, ladies and gentlemen, the candidates
for the Search for Mr. and Ms. Pawa High School 2016 is their Sports Attire.
Jen: Thank you, candidates. You may once again proceed backstage to get ready for your next
exposure.
Joel: At this juncture ladies and gentleman, it is our pride to have on our stage tonight, very
talented and dedicated teachers from DepEd Legazpi City Division.
Jen: I agree, Sir Joel. Ladies and gentlemen, let us welcome once again, to give us a dance number,
the Tribu Edukador.
(afterwards)
Joel: Thank you, Mesdames and Sirs. You have just witnessed how talented the teachers of
Legazpi City Division are.
Jen: After we have witnessed the dancing prowess of our Legazpi City Division teachers, it is
time to see how talented our very own Pawa High School Alumni are.
Joel: Here to present another dance number, let us all welcome with a booming round of applause,
Pawa High School Alumni.
(afterwards)
Jen: Thank you to our alumni for that wonderful dance number. They only prove that Pawa HS
produces talented individuals.
Joel: That’s right, Mam Jen. And now, we shall give the floor to the head of our district. Let us all
welcome, for her message, the Public Schools District Supervisor of Legazpi 9, Madam Rogie M.
Montiveros, Ed. D.
Jen: Thank you Mam Rogie for that inspiring message.
Joel: Let’s get started with the next exposure of our twenty-five lovely and dashing candidates.
Ladies and gentlemen, in the most festive wear they will ever put on tonight, here are our
candidates in their Cultural Attire.
Jen: While our contestants are getting ready for their next exposure, a word from our sponsors
first.
(voice over thanks sponsors)
Jen: At this juncture, we would like to welcome the Barangay Captain of Barangay Pawa, Legazpi
City. Ladies and gentlemen, to give his message, let us receive with a warm round of applause, the
head of Pawa Brgy, Council, Bgy. Chairman, Hon. Roger Nuñez.
Joel: Thank you very much, Mr. Roger Nunez for your kind and inspiring words. In behalf of
Pawa High School, we are truly indebted to the barangay council for your unyielding support to
all the school’s projects and activities, one of them being this pageant and coronation night.
Jen: Indeed, Sir Joel. Thank you once again, Cap.
Joel: At this point, a group of young and talented musicians will give a song number. Here to
perform some of the most popular hits of today, ladies and gentlemen let us welcome the DAE
BABS Band.

Jen: Thank you, guys.
Joel: And now, ladies and gentlemen, we have come to the most awaited wear of tonight’s
competition. The Formal Attire competition is designed for the contestants to make an on-stage
statement of their compelling charm, presence and personality. Furthermore, their beauty, sense of
style, composure and allure must be projected “across the footlights”. The Formal Attire should
complement both the candidate’s individual style and personality, expressed in the “total look”.
Jen: In their last, but surely not the least, attire for tonight’s competition, let us the welcome the
twenty-five lovely and dashing Mr. and Ms. Pawa 2016 candidates in their formal wear.

moment we would like to give emphasis to their beauty and elegance.
Joel: According to an unknown author, “Sure God created men before women. But then you
always make a rough draft before the final masterpiece.” It is true that women’s beauty should be
celebrated every time.
Jen: And here to serenade our thirteen gorgeous female candidates, let us welcome a former
faculty member of Pawa High School and one of our judges for tonight’s competition, Mr. Julius
B. Espadero.
(afterwards)
Joel: Thank you, Sir Julz for that lovely serenade. I am sure all the female candidates are now
overwhelmed with appreciation.

because we will be awarding the next set of awards.

just be a matter of which award is going to whom. Tonight, you have shown your prowess in all
the competitions. The experience you have gained in this competition is enough to consider
yourselves winners.
