Overview of Lesson
Begin by explaining to students that trust is a two way street.
You need to trust your partner in this obstacle course, because they are going to help complete the obstacle course.
Have students choose a partner or assign pairs.
Essential Question(s)
Have students walk the obstacle course without blindfolds first and demonstrate how to complete each obstacle. (Around cones,
step over a jump rope, walk on a straight line made of tape, etc).
Now have students work in pairs to complete the obstacle. Once one partner has completed the course, have the partners switch
places.
o Example Partner 1 (blindfolded)
o Partner 2: Take one giant step forward and step over the jump rope.
o Partner 1: does as asked.
o Partner 2: Walk forward slowly, now go to the right around the first cone and stop
o Partner 1: does as asked
o Partner 2: Continues through obstacles
o Have partners switch places after complete

The learners will work on building trust while working together to complete a simple obstacle course.
Assessment Criteria for Success
Students will work together in pairs, one being blindfolded at a time, to complete an obstacle course. Pairs will take turns giving the
partner directions to complete the simple obstacles. Evaluation will be based on giving and following proper directions.
