BUS 6015 FROM INCHEON AIRPORT TO MYEONGDONG

There are three ways to get to Myeongdong from Incheon Airport: by bus, AREX train and Taxi. In
this post, we will guide you on how to take a bus from Icheon Airport to Myeongdong. Bus is the
most economical and convinient way to get to Myeongdong from Icheon Airport. We rate AREX train
second for the reason that you need to change line from AREX to Seoul Metropolitan Subway at
Seoul Station.

WHICH BUS TO TAKE FROM INCHEON TO MYEONGDONG

So exactly which bus do you need to take once you arrive at Incheon International Airport?

Answer: BUS 6015.

You can catch bus 6015 at either exit 5B or exit 11B outside the arrival hall (1st Floor) of Incheon
Airport. Watch out for stand signage as below.

The bus seats are comfortable. There are spaces on the bus for your to put your luggage. So don't
worry if you have some luggage with you. The bus is specifically catering for passengers from the
airport.

TICKET FOR BUS 6015 TO MYEONG-DONG

A one way ticket for Bus 6015 from Incheon Airport to Myeong-dong costs KRW 15,000(approx
US$13, price updated on 24 April 2016). This ticket can be bought at the ticket booth inside the
arrival hall (1st Floor) near Gates 4 and Gate 9. After you get out of the arrival halls, you can buy the
ticket at the ticket booths near near Gates 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, 13, and gate 9C. Just tell the ticket booth
that you want a ticket for bus 6015 to Myeongdong. The ticket booth looks like this.

TIMETABLE FOR BUS 6015 TO MYEONG-DONG

There is a Bus 6015 departing from Incheon Airport to Myeongdong every 20 to 35 minutes. The
waiting time is maximum 20 minutes during peak hours. The first bus departs from Incheon to
Myeong-dong at 5:35am in the morning while the last bus departs at 10:50pm in the evening.
The journey from Incheon Airport to Myeong dong takes about 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on
downtown traffic condition.
BUS 6015 STOPS AT HOTEL PJ, MYEONGDONG SKYPARK 3 HOTEL / NINE TREE HOTEL AT MYEONG-
DONG

Good news for those who choose to stay at Hotel PJ and Nine Tree Hotel in Myeongdong. Bus 6015
will take you from Incheon Airport right to the front of Hotel PJ and Nine Tree Hotel. The station
name is exactly "Chungmuro Station" for Hotel PJ and "Myeongdong Station" for Myeongdong
Skypark 3 Hotel, Nine Tree Hotel, Prince Hotel, Sejong Hotel, L7 Myeongdong by Lotte and Loisir
Hotel Myeongdong. In addition, Bus 6015 also stops at Ibis Myeongdong, Royal Hotel, Best Western
Gukdo and Hotelbiz and Tmark Hotel Myeongdong. Announcement will be made before and when
the bus arrived at each bus stop.

Hotel PJ is a new hotel at Chungmuro Station while Nine Tree Hotel and Myeongdong Skypark 3
Hotel are new hotels near Myeongdong Station. These hotels are always full because of their
strategic locations at the bus stations. Personally, I prefer Nine Tree Hotel which is behind
the "Myeongdong Station".

NOTE: Effective 19 September 2014, Myeongdong Station has moved downward 70 meters from in
front of Sejong Hotel (Exit 10 Myeongdong Subway station) to the new location below in front of
Nine Tree Hotel (near Exit 8 of Myeongdong Subway Station).

BUS FROM MYEONG-DONG TO INCHEON AIRPORT?

Yes, you can take the same bus (6015) from Myeong-dong to Incheon Airport. The first bus departs
from Sejong Hotel (Myeongdong station) at 4:50am in the morning while the last bus departs at
8:35pm in the evening.

If you prefer not to take bus, you can use the AREX train and Seoul Subway to travel between
Incheon Airport and Myeong-dong. Otherwise, you may also taken taxi from Myeongdong to
Incheon Airport. The taxi fare / rate is about the same as from Incheon airport to Myeongdong,
whcih is approximately 65,000Won (plus 7,700Won toll). All said, shuttle bus 6015 is still the most
preferred way for many tourist because it is a cheap, reliable and convenient way to go from
Incheon Airport to Myeongdong or from Myeongdong to Incheon Airport.
AREX / SUBWAY TRAIN FROM INCHEON AIRPORT TO MYEONG-DONG, SEOUL

Taking train and subway from Incheon International Airport to Myeong-dong is the second best
choice because you need to change train line at Seoul Station. The best choice is still to take Bus
6015 (fare: KRW 10,000 = approx US$8.80) that takes you directly to Myeongdong.

Before you continue reading, just be WARNED that taking train to Myeongdong is NOT advisable if
you have to carry heavy luggage with you. You have to walk for about five minutes Seoul Station
to change line from AREX train to Line 4 of Seoul Subway to get to Myeongdong Station. In addition,
the subway station is deep underground. The stairs at subway stations are quite high and long to
climb and the walkway could be bumpy for luggage too.

Therefore, taking Bus 6015 is most convenient in most cases because it will take you directly to
directly to Myeongdong without changing line or station. However, the bus route takes 1 hour 30
minutes while train route would typically take only 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes.

TAKING AREX TRAIN FROM INCHEON AIRPORT TO MYEONG-DONG

Having said all that, if you prefer to take train, all you need to do is to following these steps:

1. Take the Airport Railway Express (AREX) train from Incheon International Airport Station to
Seoul Station.

2. At Seoul Station, change to LINE 4 of Seoul Metropolitan Subway to get to Myeong-dong,


which is only 2 stations away from Seoul Station.

3. Get off at Myeong-dong Station.

NEWS UPDATE: Good news for passengers who use AREX to go to Myeongdong. From March 2015, a
new passage from AREX platform to LINE 4 platform has been opened to make it easier for
passengers who go to Myeongdong to change from AREX to LINE 4 of Seoul Metropolitan Subway .
This new passage way has shorten transfer walking time from 15 minutes to a short 5 minutes.

TRAIN TICKET FARE FROM INCHEON TO MYEONG-DONG

The one way ticket from Incheon Airport to AREX Seoul Station costs is KRW14,300 (approximately
US$12.60). However, there is a special discount fare at KRW8,000 (US$7.00) from 1 January 2016 to
31 December 2016.

From Seoul Station to Myeong-dong, the Subway ticket price is KRW1,250.

In total, the fare from Incheon to Myeong-dong KRW9,250 (Approximately US$8.15). This is only less
than KRW1000 (US$0.88)cheaper than using Bus 6015.

HOW TO BUY AREX TICKET AT INCHEON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT?

Before you proceed to buy the AREX Ticket, it is important to know that there are two types of train
service from Incheon to Seoul. One is AREX which is the express non-stop train from airport to Seoul
Station. The other one is the commuter train that stops at 10 stations before arriving at Seoul
Station which will take more than 53 minutes.

We recommend AREX train because it is more comfortable, provides spaces for luggage, free WiFi on
board and has a restroom/toilet on board.

With that said, now lets explore how to buy AREX ticket at Incheon Airport. Upon arrival at Incheon
International Airport, there are two places to buy AREX train ticket:

1. At the Airport Train Information Centre at the Arrival Hall - Th information center is orange
in color. The staff here can speak English well.

1. At the Airport Railway station - from the Arrival Hall, follow the signage to go to the Airport
Railway Station. The signage looks like below. At the station, you can buy the AREX train
ticket from the vending machine. Four languages are available on this vending machine,
which are Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese. If you prefer to buy over a counter, you
can also get the ticket from the Information counter at the AREX Station.

Once you have gotten your ticket, getting onto the train is straight forward. Don't forget that there is
an Information counter at the station if you have any question.
AREX TRAIN TIMETABLE

The first AREX train departs from the Incheon International Airport AREX Station to AREX Seoul
Station at 5:30am in the morning. The last AREX train to depart from Incheon International Airport is
9:30pm in the evening.

The journey from Incheon Airport to AREX Seoul Station is 43 minutes. This is very short because it is
an express train and does not stop at any station between Incheon AREX station and AREX Seoul
Station.

ARRIVING AT SEOUL STATION

AREX train will take you to AREX Seoul Station. Upon arrival, you will need to change platform to
LINE 4 of Seoul Metropolitan Area Subway Network. NOTE that you need to buy a new ticket
for Seoul Metropolitan Area Subway. There are a few types of ticket to buy here depending on your
transportation plan in Seoul:

1. Single-use cards: If you don't plan to use Seoul Subway for the rest of your stay in Seoul, buy
this at the Seoul Subway Station Vending Machine or Information Center.

2. T-money cards: If you plan to use Seoul Subway to go to places in Seoul during your stay, T-
money card is the best choice. It is a prepaid card that can be purchased at the Subway
station or any convenient stores. Nine Tree Hotel in Myeongdong sell T-money card at their
reception too.

3. M-Pass: This is the best option for those who want to use public transport intensively in
Seoul. You can take up to 20 rides per day with this card. However, it is only commonly sold
at Tourist Information Centers, If you plan to get an M-pass, you can get it upon arrival at
Incheon Airport at the Seoul Tourist Information Center at Gates 5 and 10 on Level 1 of the
Incheon International Airport.

Once you have got one of the above ticket card, just hope on to the platform of LINE 4 at Seoul
Station. Catch the train that is heading to Hoehyeon Station. Myeongdong Station is right after
Heohyeon Station. Do not board the train heading to Sookmyong Women's Univ.

ARRIVING AT MYEONG-DONG STATION

Once you are on the train, you are just less than 5 minutes from your final destination: Myeong-dong
Station. After leaving Seoul Station, the train will make a stop at Hoehyeon Station before stopping
at Myeong-dong station.

Here you are, finally arriving at Myeong-dong from Incheon Airport. Myeong-dong station has 10
exits, depends on where you want to go (more in the next section).

FROM MYEONGDONG STATION TO YOUR HOTEL

Most people who want easy access to the Seoul Subway will choose to stay at Nine Tree Hotel (150

FROM MYEONGDONG STATION (SEOUL) TO NAMI ISLAND

Nami Island is a must visit for lovers and fans of Korean Drama "Winter Sonata". This romantic island
is located more than 60km from Myeongdong. You can get there either by train or bus.

HOW TO GO TO NAMI ISLAND BY TRAIN FROM MYEONGDONG STATION

The journey from Myeongdong Station to Gapyeong Station where Nami Island is located will take
about 1 hour 30 minutes. As you need to change train line 3 times for this trip, it is not advisable to
sleep or take a nap during this trip or you may miss the stations to change line.

With that said, let's get started with the journey to Nami Island:

1. From Myeong-dong Station, take LINE 4 train heading to the direction of Chungmuro Station
to get to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station.

2. When arriving at Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, change to LINE 2 and take
the train heading towards Sindang Station to get to Wangsimni Station.

3. When arriving at Wangsimni Station, change to JUNGANG LINE and take the train heading
towards Cheong-nyangni to get to Mangu Station.

4. When arriving at Mangu Station, change to KYEONGCHUN LINE and take the train heading
towards Galmae Station to get to Gapyeong Station, which is our destination.

This train journey from Myeongdong to Gapyeong will cost you KRW 1950 (T-Money Card) or
KRW2050 (Cash) one way.

From Gapyeong Station to Nami Island

1. Taxi - Once you are at Gapyeong Station, you need to take a short taxi trip (costs about
KRW2500-3000) to get to the ferry wharf to Nami Island.

2. Walk - You could also walk but it will take you 20-30 minutes and the direction to the ferry
wharf is not straight forward.

3. BUS - At Gapyeong Station, you can take the Shuttle Bus for Gapyeong Tourist Resort
(Course A) to go to Nami Island. The bus ticket can be bought from the bus driver at costs
KRW6,000. This ticket can be used UNLIMITED time for the whole day to go to all popular
destinations on the bus route as below:
 Gapyeong Intercity Bus Terminal <-> Gapyeong Station (Train Station) <-> Jarasum
<-> Gapyeong Rail Park <-> Nami Island <-> Petite France <-> Cheongpyeong Bus
Terminal <-> Cheongpyeong Station <-> The Garden of Morning Calm

Once arriving at the ferry wharf, proceed to the ticket booth to buy your "Entry Visa" to Nami Island
which costs KRW8,000, which includes ferry to and from Nami Island and, of course, entry to Nami
Island.

That's it. A simple guide to get to Nami Island from Myeong-dong Station by train. Sounds
complicated at the first look but this is the flexible way to get to Nami Island from Myeong-dong.
Unlike bus trip which has only one departure and return time, you can depart and return to
Myeongdong at anytime of the day you want. However, if you prefer less hassle of changing train
line, try taking a bus...

FROM MYEONG-DONG TO NAMI ISLAND BY SHUTTLE BUS

First of all, the bus to Nami Island does not depart from Myeong-dong. The bus depart from
Insadong and there is only one bus a day. Make sure you make advance booking before the trip to
secure your seat. Booking can be one done by calling the enquiry line phone number at +82-2-753-
1247.

So, with that said, here is how to go from Myeongdong to Nami Island by shuttle bus.

1. Take the subway from Myeongdong Station to Insadong. First, take


the train from Myeong-dong Station on LINE 4 to Seoul Station. Once
arriving at Seoul Station, change to LINE 1 and take the train towards City
Hall station to get to Jonggak Station.

2. Upon arriving at Jonggak Station, get out of the station using EXIT 3.
Walk to the east direction for about 250 meters until your rach Tapgol
Park. The Bus Stop for bus to Nami Island is right next to the Tapgol Park
at Insadong.

3. Take the bus directly to the ferry wharf of Nami Island. NOTE THAT
the bus departs at 9:30am. The return bus will leave Nami Island ferry
wharf at 4:00pm in the afternoon to head back to Insadong.

The two-way ticket for shuttle bus to Nami Island costs KRW23,000. This is
not expensive given that it also includes the KRW8000 "Entry Visa" (ferry
included) to Nami Island.

FROM MYEONGDONG TO NAMI ISLAND

Yes, the journey from Myeongdong to Nami Island is not straight forward, either by train or by bus,
but it is definitely worth it once you are there at the beautiful and romantic Nami Island. You may
feel exhausted by the end of the day but you will certainly return to Myeongdong with sweet
memories from Nami Island.

THE BEST TIME TO SEE CHERRY BLOSSOMS IN SEOUL

March to April is normally the best time to view Cherry Blossoms in Seoul. This year, Cherry Blossom
Festival ongoing now till April 10 at Daegu , N Seoul Tower. Even after the festival, you can probably
still Cherry Blossoms until late April in many places.

HOW TO GO FROM MYEONGDONG TO NAMSAN PARK FOR CHERRY BLOSSOMS?

Myeongdong is actually very near to N Seoul Tower and Namsan Park. So after spending time
shopping and dining at Myeongdong, why not head to Namsan Park later in the afternoon to enjoy
the beautiful scenes of cherry blossoms. If you don't mind a bit of walking, just walk your way
towards N Seoul Tower from Myeongdong Station following the walking direction here. After
walking and enjoying the view at Namsan Park, go up to N Seoul Tower enjoy the best night view of
Seoul at N Seoul Tower. If you like to take photos, do not forget to bring a good camera or DSLR.
Apart from sweet memory, it is also good to capture the nice scenes of cherry blossoms at Namsan
Park in your camera.
HOW TO GET TO INSADONG FROM MYEONGDONG SEOUL

While myeongdong is famous for its hyper shopping experience, Insadong is a "must visit" in Seoul
to experience the artistic and cultural side of Seoul. After shopping for cosmetics and fashions in
Myeongdong, how about getting to Insadong to see the ordinary Korean artwork, handicraft and
antiques and drop by the restaurants in the alleys of Insadong for traditional teas and wines.

HOW TO GET TO INSADONG FROM MYEONGDONG USING SUBWAY

From Myeongdong, you can get to Insadong by taking Seoul Metropolitan Subway Train to either
using LINE 3 to Anguk Station (EXIT 6) OR LINE 5 to Jonggak Station (EXIT 11).

1. From Myeongdong Station to Anguk Station EXIT 6 (Insadong)

If you are staying at hotel near Myeongdong Subway Station, getting to Insadong is super easy. Just
board the subway train at Myeongdong Station (LINE 4) heading towards Chungmuro Station. At
Chungmuro Station, transfer to LINE 3 to take the subway train heading towards Anguk Station. On
the way, the train will pass through Euljiro 3(sam)-ga Station and Jongno 3(sam)-ga Station as shown
on the subway map below. The subway ticket price is only KRW1350 (or KRW1250 using T-money
card). For those who stay at northern end of Myeongdong, closer to Euljiro 3(sam)-ga Station, you
can also board the subway train here to go to Insadong.

Upon arriving at Anguk Station from Myeongdong, you should exit the station using EXIT 6. At EXIT 6,
go straight and walk ahead for a short distance and you will arrive at the junction entering into
Insadong. The junction is easy to identify and you will not miss it because there area large sculpture
that set the artistic tone of Insadong.

2. From Myeongdong Station to Jonggak Station EXIT 11 (Insadong)

Another subway station near Insadong is Jonggak Station. This subway station is less well-known
among tourist who want to go to Insadong but it is equally convenient for those who want to get to
Insadong from Myeongdong Station or Seoul Station. The cost of subway ticket from Myeongdong
to Insadong through Jonggak Station is only 1350won (or 1250won using T-money Card). This is
exactly the same if you go from Myeongdong to Insadong through Anguk Station.

From Myeongdong Station, take a train heading towards Seoul Station (going through Hoehyeon
Station). Upon arriving at Seoul Station, get off the train and change to LINE 1 of Seoul Metropolitan
Subway. Take the LINE 1 subway train heading towards Jonggak Station (passing through City Hall
Station). Get off the train at Jonggak Station. The subway journey is shown below.

Upon arriving at Jonggak Station from Myeongdong, exit the station by using EXIT 11 to get to
Insadong main street. Walk straight ahead before turning left at the big junction as shown in the
walking map to Insadong main street below. After making the turn, walk briefly before turn slightly
left into Insadong main street, which looks like the picture below.

Essentially, if you use this route to get to Insadong from Myeongdong, you will arrive at the other
end of the Insadong main street compare to tourists arriving through Anguk Station. After walking
through the main street of Insadong, you can return to Myeongdong from Insadong using the Anguk
Station at the other end of Insadong main street. Just a tips on touring Insadong, there are a lot to
see and experience in the sub streets or alleys of Insadong besides the main street. Don't be afraid
to explore the alleys too for more artwork and yummy food. If you want to bring back some
souveniors from Insadong, a good place is Ssamziegil shopping mall along Insadong main street.

FROM MYEONGDONG TO INSADONG

In short, taking the subway train is the easiest and most convenient way to get to Insadong from
Myeongdong. You can choose between two routes, either getting to Insadong from Anguk Station or
Jonggak Station which are located at opposite ends of the Insadong main street. If you arrive at
Insadong at one station, you may use another station to return to Myeongdong after touring the
artistic Insadong.
HOW TO GET TO LOTTE WORLD FROM MYEONGDONG SEOUL

If you are staying in Myeongdong and would like to go to a good theme park that is nearer to Seoul,
Lotte World is the best choice for you. There are a few ways to go Lotte World Theme Park from
Seoul, including taxi, public bus, shuttle bus, KAL Limousine Bus, and subway train. In this post, we
will show you the cheapest and fastest way to get to Lotte World from Myeongdong, that is by
using Seoul Metropolitan Subway trains.

HOW TO TAKE SUBWAY TRAIN FROM MYEONGDONG STATION TO LOTTE WORLD

Lotte World theme park is directed connected to EXIT 4 of Jamsil Station on Seoul Metropolitan
Subway Line 4. As Myeongdong Station is on Line 2 of Seoul Metropolitan Subway, you will need to
change from Line 4 to Line 2 at Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station.

Subway Train Route from Myeong-dong Station (Line 4) to Jamsil Station (Line 2) to get to Lotte
World.

Here are the steps to get to Lotte World from Myeongdong:

1. First board the subway train at Myeongdong Subway Station (Line 4) heading towards
Chungmuro Station (not Seoul Station). This is marked with D in the map above.

2. Get off the train at Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station, Change to Line 2 and
take the train heading towards Sindang Station direction. This is marked with T in the map
above.

3. Get off at Jamsil Station, where Lotte World is located. Exit Jamsil station using EXIT 4 and
Lotte World is in front of you. This is marked with A in the map above.

The whole journey will take about 33 minutes to go from Myeongdong to Jamsil Station where Lotte
World is located. In this subway journey, the train will pass through 13 station. Arrival at each station
is clearly announced in many languages and indicated on the signage on the train. So, do not worry
that you will miss the station.
Upon arrival at Lotte World, you can enjoy your time at Lotte World by visiting Lotte World
Adventure, Lotte World Water Park and the Lotte World Aquarium. After having fun and enjoying
your time at Lotte World you can head back to Myeongdong by taking train the the reverse direction
heading back to Dongdaemun History and Culture Park and change line to Line 4 to take the train
heading towards Myeongdong direction.

SUBWAY TICKET FARE FROM MYEONGDONG STATION TO JAMSIL STATION (LOTTE WORLD)

Taking subway train to got Lotte World is not only the fastest way,
but also the cheapest way. If you are buying the subway ticket for a
single trip from Myeongdong to Jamsil station, the ticket fare is only
1450Won. Therefore, the round trip will only cost you 2900 Won. If
you are using transit card such as T-Money Card, then you can save
more money because the single trip going to Lotte World will only
cost you 1350 Won and the round trip ticket fare from Myeongdong
to Jamsil and return to Myeongdong is only 2700 Won.

Children aged between 7 to 12 years old can enjoy cheaper ticket price (only 500 Won) for the
subway trip from Myeongdong Station to Jamsil Station. If you have teenage family members (aged
between 13 to 18 years old, it is most worthwhile to buy them transit card because they also enjoy a
discount ticket price at 800 Won for their subway trip from Myeongdong to Lotte World. Anyone
aged 19 and above are considered adult and must pay full fare for the subway ticket.

OTHER WAYS TO GO FROM MYEONGDONG TO LOTTE WORLD

Apart from taking the subway train, there are also other ways to get to Lotte World from
Myeongdong using public transport. Of course if you do not want the hassle of taking subway train,
you can take the taxi which is a lot more expensive. You can also get to Lotte World using Seoul
public buses such as Green Bus and Blue Bus but they are less suitable for tourists who are not
familiar with the places and Korean language. Therefore, taking subway train is still the best way
(fastest and cheapest) to get to Lotte World from Myeongdong Seoul.
HOW TO GO TO GIMPO AIRPORT

If you are flying domestically from Gimpo Airport, you can reach Gimpo Airport either by
AREX, subway or bus. These pictures are taken when I was flying to Jeju Island from Gimpo
Airport with T’Way Airlines.

This is from Gyeyang Station to Gimpo. As previously I was from Jakjeon


Station, I had to transfer from Seoul Metro to AREX from Gyeyang to Gimpo
Airport.

You could see the grey line as AREX. It took me about 20 minutes
for 1,000 won using T-Money.
If you’re coming from Seoul Station, take the rapid train from Seoul
to Gimpo. The rapid train will stop only at 3 stations (red dots) before
reaching Gimpo Airports. Time is 20 minutes for 1,100 won with T-Money.
Please check with the officer which platform is for rapid train to Gimpo
Airport before riding the train, if not you will take the normal train which
stops at every station.

Inside AREX, not much difference from Seoul Metro.
After alighting the AREX, I saw this brand new cafe and from here
you can transit to Line 5 if you are heading to Seoul.

Take the elevator to B1.

Turn left to Domestic Terminal

right for International Terminal or Line 5
Once you turn left, you will see this long escalator.
Once you reach the end, take the escalator to 2nd Floor
to check in your luggage and boarding.
The whole stretch is counters for checking in. T’Way Airlines
is the left end.
After check in, we head to 1st floor to board the flight.
DONGMUN, NAMI ISLAND

If you’re at Nami Island itself, have a meal at Dong Mun! Dong Mun is the fourth halal certified
restaurant in Korea and they have an extensive menu selling all sorts of Asian dishes ranging from
Vietnamese pho to (of course) halal Korean food!

Octopus Bibimbab

Think a variety of bibimbab (Korean mixed rice), jajngmyeon (black bean paste noodles) and
bulgogi! It’s the perfect place to rest and grab a bite after a long day of sightseeing around the
gorgeous Nami Island.

Pulau Nami taklah sebesar mana. Sehari pusing dengan berjalan kaki pun boleh selesai. Tetapi untuk

FROM MYEONGDONG SUBWAY STATION TO NAMSAN TOWER / NAMSAN PARK / N SEOUL TOWER

A bit of climbing, a bit of walking but they are all worth it when you arrive at Namsan Park from the
nearest subway station, Myeongdong. Enjoying the panoramic view of Seoul from N Seoul Tower
completes your visit to Seoul.

From Myeongdong Subway Station to Namsan Cable Car Station

Assuming that you take subway train to Myeongdong, or better, staying in Myeongdong, lets start
the journey to the top from Myeongdong Subway Station on LINE 4 of Seoul Metropolitan Subway
network.

Once arriving at Myeongdong Station, get out from the station through EXIT 3. You should be able to
locate a 7-11 convenient store in front of you.

7-11 on your left, go straight into this street.

minutes until a small junction where you need to turn
Exit 3, Myeongdong Subway Station right briefly (walk a few steps) and turn left before
continue going straight (like the car below).

The next part of the walk is getting more uphill and can be quite tiring. make sure that you wear
good walking shoes Keep walking until you reach the Namsan Cable Car Station.

Arriving at Namsan Cable Station

That's it! You have successfully arrived at Namsan Cable Station from Myeongdong Subway Station!
The next step should be easy as the Cable Car will take you to Namsan Park. The fare for cable car is
KRW6,300 won for round trip and KRW4,800 one way. The cable car operate from 10:00am to
10:30pm daily. Apart from the 10 minutes walking from Myeongdong Station to the Namsan Cable
Car, the visit to Namsan Park and N Seoul Tower should be quite relaxing and fun!
1. Hyeopjae Beach

One of the most pristine white sand beaches that Jeju


Islan has to offer is none other than the Hyeopjae
Beach! Hyeopjae Beach is so magical, you can see the
changing colors of the water distinctly from different
shades of turquoise to blue, it is absolutely breath-
taking! The beach is lined with volcanic sea rocks along
side the sandy beach. Take a lon stroll along the shores
and enjoy the therapeutic calmness the little sea waves
bring to you.

3. Yonduam Dragon Rock

The Yongduam Dragon Rock Beach, unlike Hyeopjae


beach which is a sandy beach, is crusted with rocks of
volcanic formation. The marvelous Dragon Rock looks like
the head of a dragon and has been around for hundreds
of years. The water here is spectacularly all deep sea blue,
no changes in shade There are Sea Ajhummas selling
their fresh catch of shell fish and live octopus which you
can snack on right there

1. Baghdad Restaurant

One of Jeju’s few Muslim-friendly restaurants; Baghdad Café Restaurant serves Indian dishes
prepared with halal meat. The menu includes Spicy Chicken Tandoori, All kinds of spicy curry and
Naan bread.

Note: The restaurant is not Halal-certified though, which means like all other restaurants they serve
alcohol too.

Shabu Shabu is basically a Japanse soup dish where you are the chef, i.e. you choose from an array
of fresh green vegetables, mushrooms and seafood like octopus, squid, clams, and shell fish like
prawn, lobster, and crab and of course the most important part of the soup is the thin slices of beef
that you put into it.

This restaurant is another one of Jeju’s hidden gems, it a Muslim-Friendly restaurant. All the meat
they serve is Halal meat imported from Australia.

Besides your own table of Shabu Shabu, there is a buffet for salad, side menus, dessert items, coffee
and Haagen Dazs ice cream. You have so many side dishes to choose from some of which are so
delicious you may forget about the Shabu Shabu at one point Hehe. The lunch Buffet is priced
34,000₩ but there are variety of ways you can order so prices may vary.

Mulmaegol 물메골

Famous for its lotus leaf rice known as yeoipbap, Mulmaegol offers yummy vegetarian food such as
rice wrapped cookies, pancakes, tofu and kimichi. The restaurant is owned by a friendly lady – Ms
Kim whose warm hospitality and delcious vegetarian food has earned her great reviews by her many
patrons. You’re in for a heartful meal served by the best host here!

Uribong Sikdang 우리봉식당

Fancy indulging into a Haemul ttukbaegi? It is a seafood hotpot filled with plentiful servings of
seafood such as clams, fish and assorted shellfish. Expect to eat a pot full of pipping hot mussels and
crabs stew too! This place is great with families as they have a spacious dining area for you to feast
on yummy seafood!

5. Loving Hut

Loving Hut is a vegan chain restaurant known worldwide. Fortunately, they have an outlet in Jeju
Island! Here, they serve popular vegetarian Korean dishes such as kimichi and spicy tofu. But if you
are craving for some western food, why not try a soy vegan burger? Healthy and halal food = what’s
not to love!

#HHWT tip: If you staying at a place with a kitchen in Jeju, Loving Hut sells instant noodles, bread,
cereal and soy milk for you to purchase!
