Blocks: Add PVC pipe fittings and gloves. Children could make “repairs” to their spaceships.
Dramatic Play: Astronaut costume, an old keyboard, walkie talkies, star charts, and old stereos.
Children could pretend to be astronauts and command their own space ship. They can use the
keyboard and stereo nobs as their space ship controls.
Sand and water: “Moon rocks” children can pretend to be exploring the moon’s surface.
Art: Add star, planet, and sun/moon stickers or stamps.
Manipulative:

number cards and matches the number with the one on the rocket.
Science and Nature:

with different objects (stars, marbles for planets, small pebbles, etc.) Child can move the
jar around to find the different objects.
Literacy:
1. Star matching game
2. Child can write each letter of their name on squares of paper, glue the letters in
order on paper, decorate it to look like a rocket.
