Present Tense

Our fifth Prime Minister is Tun Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi.
His hometown is Penang.
He is a very loving man.
He wants our country to be peaceful.
He does not like war at all.

The pupils are in the library.


The books are arranged neatly.
Some children are reading books.
A boy is selecting a book from the shelf.
There is a newspaper on the table.

Past Tense
Yesterday our netball team won the match.
We were very happy because our school scored many goals.
Our netball teacher, Miss Ramona hugged all the players.
She gave them a treat at the school canteen.

Zarina and her family visited her cousin in Australia. They flew in an aeroplane.
The air hostess in the aeroplane was very friendly. She smiled as she served her family with food.
Zarina was excited to see the clouds outside the aeroplane.

Chong Fatt and his brother always like to fight for small matters.
Yesterday, their father punished them. He made them stand under the sun for ten minutes.
He made them say sorry to one another for hundred times. They were tired after that. From that day,
onwards, they stopped fighting.

A man has just shifted to a bungalow at Taman Teratai.


The new neighbours help him to carry the things.
They were friendly and helpful.
They even bought food for the family.
He seems to like his neighbours.
