1. The above-mentioned client is currently working as a lab manager at Harry Perkins Institute of
Medical Research, which is attached to the University of Western Australia. At the moment they
do not have a proper lab stock/material management system to manage their day to day
research work. Because of that all department staff is struggling and spending a considerable
amount of time to complete their day to day research work.

Also, the current transaction process involves manual handling of stock, does not compatible
and cause to slow down above 50% of certain transactions throughout the circle.

2. When analyzing of above problem statement, our team suggest Improving and converting their
manual stock handling to complete automated stock management system. Also, we dedicated
our work to process improvement of the targeted system to improve the productivity. As a team
We trust, the targeted computer system can produce more automated functions when handling
and releasing stock for requested departments in this Institute.

3. We are not expecting to work on the client premises. Instead of that, we are expecting to have
few verbal Interviews with the client via email and over the phone until we clarify all the
necessary requirements that we need to analyze this software system. Moreover, we expect to
present a dummy software Interfaces after we finalize all project related work

In this project, we are not Implementing any working software. But we are planning to analyze all the
necessary functions that required to develop this software. Also, we expecting to develop all the
necessary Interfaces to give a clear idea about how this will impact to simplify their business
requirements.

In order to do this analysis, we need below-listed software tools,


- Microsoft Word – Reporting Functions, Progress report etc.
- Microsoft Powerpoint or Prezi – Present necessary expectations to the client and ECU
- Microsoft Visio – Process mapping
- Netbeans with JDK( Java Development Kit) – Development of Software Interface and
necessary codings
- Signavio
- SQL Server Management Studio – Development of Database’s
- Try to engage with other necessary software’s as per the requirements
