PROJECTION OF POINTS
1. Draw the projection of the following points on a common xy line, keeping the distance between two
consecutive projections as 20 mm.
(a) Points A, its top view is 30mm above xy line & front view is 40mm below xy line.
(b) A point B, its top view & front view coincides with each other 40mm above xy line.
(c) A point C, its top view on xy line & front view 30mm above the xy line.
(d) A point D, its top view is 35mm below xy line & front view on xy line.
3. A point A is 40mm above HP & 25mm in front of VP. Another point B is 20mm below HP and 30mm
behind VP. The distance between end projectors is 50mm. draw the projections of the points. Also
draw straight lines joining their front & top views.
4. A point P is 20mm above HP & 40mm in front of VP. Another point Q lies in the first quadrant & the
distance between the vertical projections of P & Q be equal to 60mm & the distance between the
projectors through P & Q be 45mm & the point Q is 35mm in front of VP. Draw its projections.
5. A point A is 30mm above HP & is in the first quadrant. Its shortest distance from xy line is 55mm.Draw
it’s front & top views.
6. A point is 40mm below HP & 35mm behind VP.determine its least distance from xy.
7. A point P is 20mm below HP & is in third quadrant. Its shortest distance from xy line is 50mm.Draw its
projections.
8. A Point A , shortest Distance is 50 mm, which is equidistance from HP and VP. Determine the Plan And
elevation and draw the projection.
