1.1 System Introduction

The ZXDU68 W201 system is an outdoor DC power system. It provides -53.5 V power for
communication equipment.
l Three-phase five-wire (L1/L2/L3/N/PE) AC input, 127 V/220 V (phase voltage/line
voltage), 50 Hz/60 Hz.
l In full configuration, the system is equipped with four ZXD3000 (V5.0) rectifiers or four
ZXD3000 (V5.5) rectifiers, which form a rated output power of 12 kW (48 V - 57.6 V).

1.2 System Features

Efficient Rectifiers
l Peak efficiency: ≥ 96%
l Efficiency with the rated load: ≥ 95%

Automatically Switching the Rectifiers to the Sleep Mode

The ZXDU68 W201 switches one or more rectifiers to the sleep mode according to the
load power. The power of a rectifier in sleep mode is not larger than 4 W.

A Wide Range of Input Voltage

A wide range of input line voltage (85 V to 295 V) makes the ZXDU68 W201 suitable for
areas with unstable power sources.

Accessible via Web Explorer

The ZXDU68 W201 can be remotely managed through a computer installed with Web
explorer anywhere if Ethernet is available.

ZXD3000 (V5.5) Rectifier Specifications.....................................................................4-4

4.1 ZXD3000 (V5.0) Rectifier Specifications

4.1.1 Input Features
Overview
The ZXD3000 (V5.0) rectifier automatically adjusts its operational status according to the
AC input voltage.
The input features include the under-voltage protection, over-voltage protection, and power
limit.

Under-Voltage Protection
When the AC input voltage is lower than the under-voltage threshold, the rectifier
automatically shuts down and provides no output. Meanwhile, the alarm indicator is on.
After the AC input voltage reaches the under-voltage recovery threshold, the rectifier
automatically recovers.
The under-voltage recovery threshold = the AC input under-voltage threshold + the return
difference.

The AC input under-voltage threshold is (85 ± 5) V and the return difference ranges from
8 V to 12 V.

Over-Voltage Protection
When the AC input voltage is higher than the over-voltage threshold, the rectifier
automatically shuts down and provides no output. Meanwhile, the alarm indicator is
on. After the AC input voltage falls to the over-voltage recovery threshold, the rectifier
automatically recovers.

The over-voltage recovery threshold = the AC input over-voltage threshold – the return
difference.
The AC input over-voltage threshold is (295 ± 5) V and the return difference ranges from
5 V to 10 V.

4.1.2 Output Features

See Figure 4-2 for the output features of the ZXD3000 (V5.0) rectifier when the following
conditions are met.
l AC input voltage of the rectifier: 176 V to 295 V
l Environment temperature: -25 °C to +55 °C

Figure 4-2 Output Features

As shown in Figure 4-2, the output features of the rectifier can be concluded as follows:
l When the output voltage ranges from 42 V to 48 V, the maximum output current is
constant.
l When the output voltage ranges from 48 V to 59.5 V, the maximum output power is
constant.
l When the output voltage is lower than 36 V, the rectifier restarts for protection.
When the environment temperature ranges from -25 °C to +55 °C and the input voltage
ranges from 85 V to 176 V, the rectifier still has the above output features. However,
because of the power limit feature, when the input voltage ranges from 85 V to 176 V, the
output power cannot reach the highest percentage (100%). Therefore, the input voltage
affects the maximum output power and maximum output current.

4.1.3 Power Decrease With High Temperature

The feature of power decrease with high temperature refers to that the output power of
the ZXD3000 (V5.0) rectifier decreases with the increase of the environment temperature
when the environment temperature reaches the over-temperature threshold.

For the feature of power decrease with high temperature, see Figure 4-3.

4.2.1 Input Properties
Undervoltage Protection
When the AC input voltage is lower than the configured undervoltage protection threshold,
undervoltage protection is enabled. The ZXDU68 W201 rectifier is shut down, there
is no output current, and the alarm indicator is lit. When the voltage increases to the
undervoltage restoration threshold, the ZXDU68 W201 rectifier automatically resumes
operating properly.
The undervoltage protection threshold of the ZXDU68 W201 rectifier is 80 V±5 V, the
hysteresis voltage is 5 V to 12 V, and the undervoltage restoration threshold equals the
undervoltage protection threshold plus the hysteresis voltage.

Chapter 4 Rectifier Specifications

Overvoltage Protection
When the AC input voltage is higher than the configured overvoltage protection threshold,
overvoltage protection is enabled. The ZXDU68 W201 rectifier is shut down, there is
no output current, and the alarm indicator is lit. When the voltage decreases to the
overvoltage restoration threshold, the ZXDU68 W201 rectifier automatically resumes
operating properly.
The overvoltage protection threshold of the ZXDU68 W201 rectifier is 300 V±5 V, the
hysteresis voltage is 5 V to 10 V, and the overvoltage restoration threshold equals the
overvoltage protection threshold minus the hysteresis voltage.

Power Limitation Based on the Input Voltage

The ZXDU68 W201 rectifier can limit the output power based on the input voltage.
Figure 4-4 shows power limitation based on the input voltage when the following conditions
are met:
l Environmental temperature: -25 °C–+55 °C.
l Output voltage: 52.5 V–59.5 V. If the output voltage is between 42 V–52.5 V, the
maximum output current should be constant.

the ZXDU68 W201 rectifier. For a description of the relationship, refer to Table 4-3.

4.2.2 Output Property

Figure 4-5 shows the output property of the ZXDU68 W201 rectifier when the following
conditions are met:
l AC input voltage: 176 V–295 V.
l Environmental temperature: -25 °C–+55 °C.

Figure 4-5 shows the output property of the ZXDU68 W201 rectifier in the following
conditions:

l Point A corresponds to output voltage 58 V, and the typical output current capacity is
52.5 A.
l Point B corresponds to output voltage 52.5 V, and the typical output current capacity
is 58 A.
l Area C corresponds to output voltage lower than 42 V. In this area, the ZXDU68 W201
rectifier must operate stably and reliably, basic requirements for connecting power
units in parallel must be met, and there is no mandatory requirement for the output
properties.

Chapter 4 Rectifier Specifications

l When the output voltage is between 42 V and 52.5 V, the output current is constant.
l When the output voltage is lower than 36 V, the ZXDU68 W201 rectifier restarts for
protection.
When the environmental temperature is between -25 °C and +55 °C, and the input voltage
is between 85 V and 176 V, the ZXDU68 W201 rectifier still has the above output properties.
However, the output power of the ZXDU68 W201 rectifier cannot reach the maximum
value due to input-voltage-based power limitation. Therefore, the maximum power and
maximum output current are affected by the input voltage.

4.2.3 Overtemperature Power Property

When the environmental temperature exceeds the overtemperature threshold, the output
power of the ZXDU68 W201 rectifier decreases with the rise in temperature.
Figure 4-6 shows the overtemperature power property of the ZXDU68 W201 rectifier. For
a description of the property, refer to Table 4-4.

Table A-1 lists the alarms that can be detected by the CSU500B (SV1.12.0) supervision
unit, and describes their default alarm levels and output relays.
l A1 - A14 refer to 6 output relays for the alarms.
l Multiple alarms can share one output relay. Each alarm cannot correspond to multiple
output relays but one output relay only. "None" means that no output relay is assigned
to an alarm. When an alarm is reported, it indicates that problems occur on the
corresponding output relay.
l The output relay of an alarm will not take effect when its alarm level is set to "Mask".
