HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE

This book was published by Arthur A. Levine, an imprint of Scholastic Inc., July 2000. It
consists of 734 pages. J.K Rowling is the author of the beloved, best-selling, record-
breaking Harry Potter series. She started writing the series during a delayed Manchester
to London King’s Cross train journey, and during the next five years, outlined the plots for
each book and began writing the first novel. Harry Potter and J.K Rowling received
numerous awards and honorary degrees, including an OBE for services to children’s
literature, France’s Légion d’honneur, and the Hans Christian Andersen Literature
Award. She supports a wide number of causes through her charitable trust, Volant, and
is the founder of Lumos, a charity working to transform the lives of disadvantaged
children. J.K Rowling lives in Edinburgh with her husband and three children.

Main Characters:

Harry Potter is the hero and protagonist, his name was chosen by the Goblet of Fire
even though he never put his name in. He was forced to compete at the Triwizard
Tournament despite being too young to compete. He survived the three dangerous
tasks and won the tournament.

Hermione Granger is the most brightest with of her age. She loves to read and she helps
Harry to solve his problems. She is a loyal friend.

Ron Weasley is Harry Potter’s best friend. But Ron refused to believe that Harry didn’t put
his name in the Goblet of Fire. Ron was jealous because Harry is the only one who gets
all the attention.

Voldemort is the most powerful Dark Wizard, a wizard who had been gaining power
steadily for eleven years—arrived at his house and killed Harry Potter’s mother and
father. Voldemort performed the curse that disposed of many full-grown wizards and
witches on Harry but it didn’t work. Instead of killing the small boy, the curse had
rebounded upon Voldemort.

Wormtail is the one who betrayed Harry’s parents and continued to serve him during
the Second Wizarding War.

Dumbledore is the headmaster of Hogwarts. He is the only wizard that Voldemort has
ever feared.

Harry had a dream about Voldemort plotting to kill him. He had awoken from a vivid
dream with his hands pressed over his face. He felt his scar burning. Harry was bothered
because the last time his scar hurt was because Voldemort was close by. He was very
worried so he wrote to his Godfather, Sirius Black. The next morning Harry's Uncle Vernon
receives a letter from the Weasleys. They are asking Harry to watch the Quidditch World
with them. Harry’s uncle agreed to let Harry watch the Quidditch World Cup and told
Harry to write a letter to the Weasleys to pick him up and tell his Godfather--- Sirius that
he is coming to the Quidditch World Cup. The next day, the Weasleys arrived in the
Dursley’s blocked fireplace because they can only travel by fire. They came to pick up
Harry. A bag of sweets spilled out of Fred’s pocket--- big, fat toffees in brightly colored
wrappers , which Dudley eats causing his tongue to swell 4 feet long. The Dursleys panic
and Uncle Vernon throw things at Mr. Weasley when he was trying to help. Harry exit
through the fireplace and then, Harry arrived at the Burrow, the family home of the
Weasley family. There, he met the two eldest Weasley brother--- Bill and Charlie. Mrs.
Weasley reprimands the twins about giving Dudley the Ton-Tounge Toffee. Early next
