in lagoons and wetlands: where there is contaminated
water, nature develops plants, bacteria, and algae that
feed on these pollutants.

2. FILTRATION

For this reason, the second step of the
process takes place in a ltra
on tank,
where polyether lters block the
suspended solids.
The number of lters depends on the
typology of wastewater and its richness
of suspended par
cles.
3. TREATMENT WETLAND
The constructed wetland is the core of the
system: a waterproof bed, full of gravel,
houses the plants that clean the wastewater.
The interac
on between the roots, the
bacteria and microalgae in the gravel remove
the pollutants from the water.
