1) Calibration data list

This list shows all available calibration data.
Check or uncheck a entry to show or hide the data in diagram.
Right-click a entry or right-click in the empty area for further actions.

2) Calibration data diagram

Hold down [CTRL] key while moving over diagram to view data (see 3.).

4) Diagram types
Selects the type of diagram:
'A' or 'B' shows the raw values for A and B axis.
'A diff' or 'B diff' shows the raw values subtracted by the nominal values
For instance, if the raw value at index 10 is 25.7°, the 'diff' value is 0.7° (the nominal value is 10*2.5° = 25°)
5) Unit
Selects the used unit for display and controller communication.

6) Log
All messages are logged here.

7) IRC status and control

If activated, a dialog shows current IRC state. Here you can lock, unlock or move the IRC.

8) Options
Click this button to open the options dialog.
Remarks
- If any changes are made to the CAA file 'irccal.caa' with this tool (calibration, editing serial number, etc.), it is
saved to the individual ID directory.
- If the tool does not support the currently mounted IRC type, a message box pops up when starting the tool.

Menus
Menu Submenu Description
File Open file Opens a calibration data file (*.IRC_Cal).
Open file (add) Opens a calibration data file, but does not clear the current calibration
data list.
Save file Saves the current calibration data to file.
Save file as... Saves the current calibration data to file using a new file name.
IRC Save current CMM raw values to Saves the calibration data in controller memory to the irccal.caa file on
CAA file (W44) the controller.
Reset raw values on CMM Resets the calibration data in controller memory to default values.
Create empty default CAA file Creates the default CAA file: C:\BC\KMG\id\_RDS\irccal.caa
Create CAA file backup Creates a copy of the current CAA file on CMM: irccal.000, irccal.001,
...
Edit serial number Edits the serial number for the IRC.
 Set B axis limits Opens a dialog to manipulate B axis limits.
The storing place of the limit values depends as follows:
1) RDS: The values are stored to the LUPO > Address 0xF840-0xF841
and 0xF844-0xF845
2) RDS-D/C:
2.1) FW < 23: C:\BC\KMG\ID\????????\param.kmg > F90,6 / F93,6
2.2) FW >= 23: C:\BC\KMG\PARAMS\#rc_RDS.kmg > F90,6 / F93,6

Options
Click "Options" in the tool bar to show the options dialog, see 7).
Option Mode Description
Calibration Test
Loops x x Specifies the number of calibration loops done when clicking 'Start'
button (Calibration or Test). Used for endurance testing.
Test run cycle x Selects the order of angles for a test cycle
controller commands
Predefined test cycle x Generates a set of controller commands for the test cycle.
Average raw values x x The raw axis values for A and B axis are unstable. To generate stable
values, the read values are averaged over a time span specified here.
Use 0 to disable.
Create CAA file backup x If checked, a backup of 'irccal.caa' is created before writing to it. The
backup file extension is replaced by the next free number.
Limits x x Two adjacent values should not be too close to provide a safe
movement. This value specifies the minimum difference between the
two adjacent values. If falling below this limit, the tool breakes the
calibration run and returns with warning (yellow) exit code.

Command line agruments for automation

Enter one of these command line arguments if you use the IRC_Cal in CmmCtrl automation.
Command Description
No option will run the calibration or test loop, depending on option stored in the settings file.
serial Only displays a dialog to edit the serial number of the IRC. The serial number is stored to
'C:\BC\KMG\[ID]\irccal.caa'
NOTE: The serial number is only for information, so it is always be in a comment
ab0 Shows the control dialog (see 6.) to move the IRC manually to A=0 and B=0
