 Exclusive Features

Solid top cover There are two distinct advantages to the solid aluminum
top cover provided on Kim framed cubes. First, it provides
access an excellent heat barrier allowing the use ol higher
wattage lamps than plastic top cubes. Second, il allows
easy access lor re-lamping and cleaning without removing
the entire lixture from the pole. Cover is lully gasketed and
secured by sel!retained quarter-turn latches.

Rigid Because of a unique extrusion design, the aluminum

frame can be completely assembled and welded from the
internally welded inside. This allows the external surfaces of the frame to be
frame clean and smooth for applying anodjzed or painted
finishes that will not discolor with age. The frame extrusion
also provides lor well detailed acrylic retainer bars that
conceal fasteners for a clean inside appearance when
transparent acrylic panels are used.

Combined lighting The framed cube is an ideal luminajre for graphic

presentation because of its square format and individual
and face panels. Easily removable graphic sjde panels can be
flexible graphics changed at any time with minimum cost. Side panels are
completely gasketed for weathertight integrity, and all
graphics are chemically welded to the acrylic for
permanence.

Clean details with Kim designers have made every effort to provide features
that reduce installation time while retaining clean details.

tenon eliminating all exposed fasteners lrom the pole top.

Future U.L. lmpending U.L. outdoor lighting standards will require a

suitable wiring compartment to allow access to all lield
compliance wiring connections without removing the lixture from the
pole. Kim's exclusive *Splice Tenon is an ideal solution for
Kim's exclusive this requiremenl. lt provides an aesthetically pleasing
*Splice Tenon articulation between fixture and pole; serves as a wiring
compartment and also acts as the pole mounting
*patent pending mechanism. Splices can therefore be made at a logical
point between lixlure and in-pole ballast, with easy access
for inspection and servicing.

cast aluminum fltter. The recessed fitter shall provide
