As a senior Residence Assistant, I was responsible for the safety and
comfort of Residents in the building, as well as the 8 other Resident
Assistants (RAs) that worked in the building. My duties included meeting
weekly with RAs, management, and the other faculty and staff (including
professors, maintenance, and cafeteria service) in the building to maintain
transparency and communication throughout. I also worked alongside
the RAs to plan and run events in the building. Our team worked hard
this year to increase resident attendance, as well as creating an
environment where faculty and staff of the college were encouraged to
join our activities.
GATE CLERK
NIPAWIN & DISTRICT REGIONAL PARK
May 2015 – August 2017 (Seasonal)
This position required many clerical and hospitality skills. I was
responsible for financial transactions, checking campers in and out,
booking reservations for campsites, handling guest inquiry regarding the
park and Nipawin and area, and managing conflict that occasionally
occurred with bookings and reservations. Within this position, I also had
the opportunity to design and construct park play packs, which included
activities, brochures, and materials for our guests to use within the park.
These included education packs for the Pond, wild life, and wildflowers
found within the park.
FUN FACTORY LEADER
TOWN OF NIPAWIN
June 2013 – August 2013 (Seasonal)
In this position, I worked alongside 3 coworkers to plan and facilitate
activities for children between the ages of 5 to 8 years old. This position
also allowed for cooperation with another program in the same school
for students older than 8 years. This position allowed for creativity and
organization as we planned weekly themes, activities, and games for
attendees as well as assessing them for safety and possible factors that
may come up.
