ABSTRACT

This project is primarily concerned with the development of an Automatic Pineapple

Processing Unit.

The main purpose for conducting this project is to provide a mechanism that will ease the

work of removing the tough outer skin of the pineapple and to add other process in the mechanism.

Existing pineapple peeling machine are immense and could process pineapple only in standard

sizes for large scale manufacturing. The objective of this project is also to improve the present

mechanism bay adding a slicer and chunker for additional processing and by making it automatic

for easy operation to increase production and to provide an affordable and viable machine for

small entrepreneurs. This machine incorporates both reduction and less time consumption in

pineapple processing.

The machine was fabricated based on a design that featured a slicer (for the butt and crown

of the pineapple), peeler, decorer, pineapple slicer and chunking blade by using pneumatic system.
