HERBAL MEDICINE (MORINGA ALSO KNOWN AS MALUNGGAY)

Moringa is the term for the single genus of the botanical family Moringaceae from which "Moringa"
takes its name. Moringa is grown all over the Philippines too and is a popular backyard plant. It has a
long history in the Philippines culture and cuisine. Moringa is popularly used for food and has several
known folkloric medicinal purposes that have been handling own to several generations for hundreds of
years. In the Philippines, the Tagalog term for Moringa is "Malunggay", which is phonetically similar to
Moringa. Moringa is known in 82 countries by 210 different names. The Moringa tree is also
interchangeably referred to as the "drumstick tree" or the "horseradish tree". Malunggay (Moringa
Oleifera), is a popular plant known for high nutritional value as well as an herbal medicine. Malunggay is
a plant that grows in the tropical climates such as the Philippines, India and Africa. Malunggay is widely
used as vegetable ingredient in cooking, as herbal medicine for a number of illness and other practical
uses. The Malunggay plant can grow to as high as 9 meters with erect white trunks. The compound leaf
has about 3 to 9 leaflets. Malunggay has white fragrant flowers that produce long pods with 3-angled
winged seeds. Malunggay may be propagated by planting its seeds about inch in the ground or matured
malunggay stem cuttings of about 3 feet in length may also be planted into the ground. Planted
malunggay cuttings grow faster compared to planted seeds. Malunggay (Moringa Oleifera) has been used
as herbal medicine in many cultures for hundreds of years.

Malunggay is known as a very nutritious plant where it is used to combat malnutrition in third world
countries especially for infants and nursing mothers. The Malunggay pods are the most valued and widely
used part of the plant. Malunggay pods contain essential amino acids, vitamins and other nutrients.
Malunggay prepared or cooked. Malunggay pods may be eaten raw or may be prepared or cooked.
Malunggay pods may be fried and may produce clear, odorless and sweet oil mostly called Ben Oil.
Malunggay leaves may be eaten as greens, in salads and as vegetable ingredients for soups and other
tropical viands. Malunggay flowers are cooked and eaten either mixed with other foods or fried in batter.
Moringa has so much potential in benefiting humanity and it definitely deserves serious national and
international attention and support. Moringa or popularly known as Malunggay in the Philippines. The
World Health Organization (WHO) has been reportedly studying and using the Moringa plant for the last
40 years as a cost effective health enhancer. Malunggay has a long history of medical usage and has a
long list of folkloric health benefits for the following conditions. Malunggay is widely believed to contain
high value nutrients and consumption of which promotes general well-being. Malunggay is also called a
"miracle tree" primarily for the various health benefits it can provide for almost all kinds of diseases and
medical conditions. Moreover, almost all its parts have use from its roots, pods, barks, flowers, and
leaves. Listed below is some of the traditional herbal treatment of malunggay.
 Scalp problems. Malunggay leaves pounded and combined with coconut oil are used to treat scalp
problems and to promote hair growth.
 Boosts immune system. Boiled Malunggay leaves contain immune boosting nutrients used in
sickness recovery.
 Milk production in nursing mothers. Boiled Malunggay leaves used to promote milk production
in nursing mother.
 Asthma. Malunggay leaves combined with honey and calamansi to treat cough and asthma.
 Skin rejuvenation. Malunggay is used as skin restorer to promote skin rejuvenation.
 Hypertension. Malunggay soup is used to lower high blood pressure.
 Relaxant. Malunggay tea from bark or leaves is used to treat insomnia and restlessness.
 Anthelmintic. Malunggay pod is chewed to treat and prevent intestinal parasites in children.
 Diabetes. Malunggay is also recommended for suffers of diabetes.
 Source of calcium. Malunggay is consumed to strengthen the bones especially for growing
children and older people due to high calcium content.
 Anti-inflammatory. Malunggay oil or poultices used to treat bone and ligament related conditions
that involve inflammations such as gout, rheumatism, back pain, sprains and sorts of swelling.
 Eye problems. Malunggay is also used to improve eye problems. Believed to contain high amount
of vitamin A, more than that of a carrot.
 Anti-cancer. Malunggay is used along with other herbal medicines to treat cancer. Leaves and
fruit used for constipation and as diuretic.
 Skin diseases. Decoction of boiled roots used to wash sores, cuts, skin ulcers, wounds and other
skin diseases to alleviate pain and promote healing.
 Stomach problems. Malunggay is also used for stomach and intestinal problems such as ulcers
and constipation.
 Abortificient. Malunggay roots and bark have been used as abortificient.
 Boosts fertility. Malunggay flower with soy milk is used as aphrodisiac and promote fertility for
men.
 Contraceptive. While malunggay roots are believed to suppress fertility, chewed as a
contraceptive by women.
 Snake bites. Malunggay roots are also used to treat snake bites.
 Ear problems. The juice from malunggay roots is used to treat ear related ear problems (otalgia).

Malunggay is possibly safe for most people when taken by mouth in food quantity. The long term
safety of its herbal preparation is unknown. Just like any herbal medicine, moderation in use is
recommended. Pregnancy and breastfeeding, there is no sufficient studies done to investigate the adverse
or side effects of malunggay herbal medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is recommended to
avoid it's used. According to Indian traditional usage, malunggay may have an abortificient effects.
(ref:nath D, N Sethi, et al. (1997) Survey on indigenous medicinal plants used for abortion in some
districts of Uttar PrConclusionoterapia 68 (3): 223-225. Malunggay, known as horse-radish tree or Ben
oil tree in English and whose scientific name is Moringa oleifera is indeed a very useful plant. It is rich in
nutrients; it helps clean turbid water because it acts as a flocculent that is able to precipitate suspended
particles; it is a source of oil; and it has some medicinal properties.

Malunggay is easy to plant and is drought resistant. It is grown all over the Philippines as a
backyard tree and is available throughout the year. The leaves, flowers and fruits (that are pods) of
malunggay are edible and Filipinos eat them as vegetable. Malunggay leaves are loaded with nutrients,
especially vitamins and mineral. Research study conducted by Dr. Lydia Marero of the Food and
Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) of the Philippines revealed that one hundred grams or one cup of
cooked malunggay leaves contain 3.1g protein, 0.6 g fiber, 96mg calcium, 29mg phosphorus, 1.7 mg iron,
2,820 mg beta-carotene, 0.07 mg thiamin, 0.14 mg riboflavin, 1.1 mg niacin and 53 mg ascorbic acid (Vit.
C). Compared to equivalent amounts (in weight) of other foods, malunggay has seven times more
Vitamin C than oranges, fout times more calcium and two more times more protein than milk, four times
more vitamin A than carrots and three times more potassium than bananas. Malunggay has numerous
reported medicinal properties, but only a few have been scientifically proven. Regular consumption of
malunggay can greatly help in preventing micronutrient deficiency (especially among children), a
condition that is still prevalent in many parts of the country. To this end, the Department of Agriculture’s
Biotechnology Program has successfully conducted studies on how to fortify all sort of food products
including noodles, juices, milk and bread with malunggay. Sen Legarda has picked up the idea and is
advocating for the fortification of instant noodles with malunggay as ans inexpensive way to enrich the
Filipino household diet and put in check widespread micronutrient deficiency. Malunggay contains high
levels of beta-carotene, Vitamin C and E, and the phytochemical niaziminin. These substances are potent
antioxidants that protect the cells of the body from getting damaged by free radicals. Free radicals are
believed to contribute to such disorders as cancer, heart disease and many other conditions associated
with aging. In other words, malunggay could help prevent many forms of cancer and delay the aging
process. Among lactating mothers, eating malunggay leaves increases the flow of milk. This is another
health benefit of malunggay that has already been proven. The numerous other reports on the medicinal
properties of malunggay are mostly folkloric in nature and still scientifically unproven. At any rate, let me
enumerate some of them.
Malunggay pods when eaten are reported effective against intestinal parasites. Decoction of boiled
malunggay roots when used as gargle evidently alleviates hoarseness and sore throat; when used to wash
sores and ulcers, it helps dry these lesions because it has antibacterial properties. Malunggay seeds are
apparently good for gout, asthma, and hiccups, and rheumatic pains. The juice of the roots when infused
into the ears relieves otalgia or earache, while eating the leaves and fruits relieves constipation. The
flowers when boiled with soy milk act as aphrodisiac. Malunggay has also been reported to be of help in
controlling diabetes and high blood pressure.Dead Sea Moringa may be the real deal when it comes to
experiencing benefits from a natural food supplement. The more you research the product, the more
credible the claims and reviews become. It is also one of the best-kept secrets in the 30 billion dollar
world of supplements. Moringa (moringa oleifera) has been called the most nutrient-rich plant food
source. Originally found in the Himalayan Mountains, the plant has been used for thousands of years as
treatment for a variety of reasons and conditions. Dead Sea Moringa is grown on a farm in the southern
region of Israel. The effectiveness of Dead Sea Moringa is significant enough to call the plant “the Tree
of Life” in many cultures. Indian medicine practitioners (also known as ayurvedic physicians) claim a
wide range of benefits derived from this single plant. Due to its myriad of nutritional properties, Dead Sea
Moringa is a potentially good supplement for people of all ages. The Moringa leaf has been used for
thousands of years in traditional healing because of its healing potential. Its properties can only be
described as multi-purpose. The Dead Sea Moringa leaf powder produced from the plant is a healthy
source of leafy green vegetable protein, an excellent alternative to other plant-based proteins such as soy.
This can useful for those who are allergic or intolerant to soy protein, as the Moringa’s protein is more
easily digested. Easy digestion means less stress on the body as it absorbs the protein, and thus a more
rapid absorption and response rate. Because of the high concentration of nutrients, Dead Sea Moringa leaf
powder has been used as a nutritional supplement to combat malnutrition in some third world countries.
Severely malnourished children and adults have made remarkable nutritional gains after ninety days of
regularly consuming the product.

A case study of the use of Dead Sea Moringa in for the treatment of malnutrition in Senegal was
conducted by Alternative Action for African Development (AGADA) and Church World Service in 1997-
98. In that region, more than 600 infants are treated for malnutrition every year. Residents of the village
were trained to prepare and use Moringa leaf powder in foods, as were the local health care workers. At
the end of 90 days, children maintained or increased their body weight and general health; pregnant
women recovered from anemia and had babies with higher birth weights; and, breastfeeding mothers
noted increased milk production. These are the benefits of consumption of Moringa:
 Support for Healthy Joints
 Immune System Support
 Cleansing of the body’s internal organs and systems
 Balancing of the thyroid glands function
 Support for healthy gums

Natural replacement for dark leafy green vegetables when they are unavailable or unpalatable

There are currently no documented side effects from taking Dead Sea Moringa. There are also no
published reports of potential drug interactions. It is prudent to consult with your primary care physician
or pharmacist before taking any nutritional supplements. Dr. G. Charles Jackson, EdD has given a
promising endorsement of Dead Sea Moringa. He explains: “It is undisputed both scientifically and
Biblically that herb leaves, roots and fruits and their resins, distillates and oils all have valuable medicinal
and otherwise health-related uses.” Dr. Jackson notes that most commonly prescribed antibiotics come
from a variety of mold derivatives. The common anti-fungal drugs are the products of plant leaves and
bark. Biblical readings confirm that plants have been used for millennia as medicine or medicinal tonic.
The branch that Moses used in the spring, the trees found in the Garden of Eden and the trees by the river
of life from the Book of Revelation may have contributed to the health of the populations of that time.
There is no doubt that plants are medicinal, and Dead Sea Moringa, with its unique combination of
nutritional and medicinal properties, is just another example of this phenomenon. These statements have
not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat,
cure or prevent any disease. Weight loss is probably the most complicated simple issue faced by
humankind. It is simple when you think of it in terms of consuming fewer calories than your body burns
over the course of a day or week, but actually doing that consistently and getting your body to release
stored fat is quite complicated. You have to fight the mental obstacles that you put in your own way when
it comes to selecting the healthiest food options on a daily basis. You have to balance many facets of your
busy life, and then you have the confusion of your body in terms of hormones, hunger pangs and habitual
thinking. Add to that the long list of things that can force your body to start clinging to fat rather than
burning it off. It is frustrating when you think you are doing it all right but the scale provides no
validation. If you are looking for a supplement that will help you progress toward your weight loss goals,
you are not alone. Store shelves are lined with diet and weight loss supplements because there are
millions of people just as frustrated yet hopeful as you are right now. The problem is that most of those
weight loss supplements do not help with weight loss and long-term weight maintenance. They focus on
suppressing your appetite or block your body’s absorption of fat in the short term. Once you stop taking
those supplements, your body goes back to absorbing fat and demanding food just as it did before. While
Dead Sea Moringa can help you reach your weight loss goals, it is not your typical weight loss
supplement. In fact, many Moringa supplements are not even marketed as weight loss aids. They are
marketed as nutritional supplements for a variety of other health conditions. This is because the Moringa
Oleifera tree happens to produce leaves and seeds packed with nutrients, vitamins, minerals and
antioxidants that have a powerful effect on the human body.

The number one reason that Dead Sea Moringa supports healthy weight loss is the fact that it is
made from one of the healthiest green leafy vegetables available today. The United States Department of
Agriculture states that leafy greens are essential to a well-balanced diet and promote weight maintenance
in the following ways:

 Green leafy vegetables are low on the glycemic index (GI). Low-GI foods do not create spikes in
blood glucose and are considered the healthiest food options available.
 Leafy greens are low-calorie foods. The most basic formula for weight loss is to consume fewer
calories than your body burns over the course of a day. You can eat a lot of leafy green
vegetables to keep your stomach full without consuming a lot of calories. That makes it easier to
reduce your calorie intake without going hungry.
 Greens are loaded with vitamins and minerals that the body needs for proper functioning.
Everything from metabolism speed to proper digestion of food is dependent upon healthy intake
of vitamins and minerals. Leafy greens supply those vitamins and minerals for maximum
nourishment.
 Dark leafy greens are rich in fiber. The digestive system needs fiber to function properly. Fiber
also increases satiety between meals so that you experience fewer food cravings and are less
driven to snack. This helps when you are trying to stick to a healthy diet in order to lose weight.

Since Moringa Oleifera leaves are nutrient-dense greens, they are among the healthiest form of leafy
green vegetable known in the world. Dead Sea Moringa is made from pure Moringa leaves in powdered
form, so you gain all of the benefits of eating leafy greens when you take this supplement. If your goal is
to lose weight, this means enhanced nourishment to keep your metabolism and other bodily functions
working properly, fiber to support your digestive system and keep your stomach full, and a consistent
supply of vitamins and minerals needed to support healthy weight loss and weight maintenance. If the
weight loss power of the Moringa plant comes from its nutritional profile as a leafy green vegetable, why
can’t you simply eat leafy green vegetables rather than taking Dead Sea Moringa? It comes down to
convenience and your ability to maximize the health and weight loss benefits as easily and quickly as
possible. You would need to consume a large amount of leafy green vegetables every day to match the
benefits of taking Dead Sea Moringa as a daily supplement. Most people do not want to eat green leafy
vegetables every day, especially in large quantities. A Moringa supplement allows you to consume a
larger amount of concentrated leafy greens in a single pill rather than consuming large salads or adding
leafy greens to every meal you enjoy.

Moringa Oleifera is also superior to many other leafy greens available in the western world. For
example, most legumes and vegetables lack some of the essential amino acids needed to prevent your
muscles from breaking down. Moringa leaves are the exception because they contain all of the essential
amino acids. This means they can help strengthen and nourish your muscles so that they grow stronger
from your workouts. Many protein powders include added amino acids to help with protein synthesis
after intense muscle-building sessions. There aren’t many leafy greens that can boast a nutritional profile
with more than 90 nutrients and a long list of vitamins and minerals. Combine that with the fiber and
antioxidants contained in this plant and you see why it is used in Senegal and other underdeveloped
regions to nourish people living with starvation and lack of access to healthy foods. You can still amplify
your results and get even more health benefits by consuming spinach and a variety of other leafy greens in
addition to supplementing with Moringa. You don’t have to consume those leafy greens in exceptionally
high quantities or every day of the year when you have the support of this daily supplement. Most people
are driven to lose weight to improve their appearances, but you should also do it to lower your risk of
developing these related health conditions. Dead Sea Moringa not only nourishes your body so that it can
work on releasing the stored fat in a healthy, efficient manner, but studies have shown that it can also help
with normal blood sugar, normal blood pressure, and cholesterol levels already in the normal range.
Consuming more healthy foods in their natural state (uncooked, unprocessed) is the most important step
you can make to reach your weight loss goals. You have already learned about the benefits of making
green leafy vegetables a part of your healthy diet, and Dead Sea Moringa is the easiest way to consistently
get the leafy greens your body needs. This supplement will not block your appetite or prevent your body
from absorbing dietary fat, but it will nourish your body and give you the energy you need to get through
your busy day and add exercise into your life. A healthier diet rich in nutrients, vitamins, minerals and
antioxidants combined with an active lifestyle is all it takes to lose weight. That seems so simple, but you
know how complicated it is to actually do that on a daily basis. Moringa supplements can make it just a
little easier. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This
product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. The benefits of Moringa
supplements for pregnant and nursing women have been clearly established, but what about men? As
Dead Sea Moringa becomes more readily available in the world’s supplement market, more men are
starting to question whether the supplement can help them live healthier, longer lives. Many of the
benefits for women also extend to men of all ages, but there are four main reasons that a man may start
taking this supplement on a daily basis.

1. Weight Loss and Maintenance

The fact that Moringa can help with weight loss confuses many people. It is known to help increase
appetite for people who are malnourished and is often used as a nutritional supplement to help people in
the poorest regions of the world. How can it also help people who have eaten too much and gained an
excessive amount of weight? Many men do take Moringa to help with weight loss, and you can find
positive accounts of their results all over the Internet. While this supplement cannot stimulate weight loss
when unhealthy foods are continuously consumed and an inactive lifestyle is followed consistently, but it
can help with weight loss and weight control for men actively trying to change their lifestyles. It is a
supplement, not a diet plan. Men who are trying to eat healthier foods will benefit from the nutrients
contained in Moringa seeds and leaves. A long list of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants are contained in
the plant along with all of those healthy nutrients. This makes it easier for men to keep up with a healthy
diet and allows men to nourish their bodies to boost energy during exercise sessions.

2. Maintain Normal Blood Sugar

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services estimates that more than 25 million people suffer
from diabetes in the U.S. alone. If you could collect data from the entire world, the number of people
suffering from this disease would be astounding. While most patients treat the disorder with prescription
medication, exercise and a restricted diet, many also supplement with natural herbs and over-the-counter
medications proven to help lower and control blood glucose levels. Dead Sea Moringa is now one of the
most promising supplements for men wanting to maintain normal blood sugar levels. Scientific research
indicates that it has a positive effect on normal glucose levels in the blood. It is important to note that the
study cited here used freshly harvested Moringa leaves that were dried in sunlight and broken into a
powder. The supplement should be taken consistently over time to deliver maximum results.

3. Sexual Enhancement

Men are far more likely than women to take Dead Sea Moringa for sexual enhancement. Research
published in the American Journal of Neuroscience in 2012 researched the sexual response of rats when
administered Moringa Oleifera leaf extract. The study found that the rats did respond with enhanced
interest in sexual actions after receiving the extract. The final recommendation of the study was for
further study regarding the treatment of sexual dysfunction with M. Oleifera leaf extract. This study
shows what many men have asserted about the benefits of taking Moringa supplements. While the rats in
the study did not show enhanced levels of testosterone while under the influence of the supplement, they
were more inclined to mounting behavior. This shows their heightened interest in sex, and that could
result to enhanced sexual excitement for humans taking the supplement. According to research released
by the University of Chicago and the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, approximately 30% of men
are affected by sexual dysfunction. Other has shown that more than 18 million men in the United States
alone are affected by erectile dysfunction, which is a form of sexual dysfunction. There are some medical
issues that can cause sexual dysfunction, but it is believed that many men are unable to perform sexually
due to psychological issues. With that many men suffering from sexual dysfunction, the possibility of
finding relief through a natural remedy like Dead Sea Moringa capsules is welcomed. Many men do
experience some relief with these supplements, but further scientific research is needed to verify the
results of the study published in the American Journal of Neuroscience and clearly identify why this leaf
extract helps men with sexual dysfunction.

4. Immune System Support

All men need to boost their immune systems in order to minimize downtime from illness. Shaking hands
with colleagues, touching public doorknobs and sharing public restrooms will put any man at risk for the
common cold, and some men are also at risk for other infectious diseases depending on where they live
and who they encounter in daily life. The use of the Moringa plant for immune system support originated
from projects aimed at helping people living in poverty. One such Moringa as a valuable resource for
treating the people of Ghana, Africa and Accra. The in-depth research for this project identified the
nutritional and functional properties of all parts of the plant and concluded that it could help the
impoverished people of these nations boost their immune systems and fight off disease. They believed the
plant was suitable for use in this manner because it is incredibly nutrient-dense. The same nutrients that
can help men reach and maintain a healthy body weight can ensure that the body has the nutrients needed
to fight off illness and remain healthy. People living in impoverished nations can benefit from a stronger
immune system because they are typically exposed to a wider variety of disease owed to their living
environments. Men from more privileged areas of the world can also benefit from an enhanced immune
system regardless of where they live. Moringa supplements can help all men who want to remain as
healthy as possible to care for their families. Men who have no problems maintaining healthy body
weights and who are in overall good health can still benefit from taking Dead Sea Moringa as a basic
nutritional enhancement. Most men in the modern world do not consume well-balanced diets on a daily
basis. They are more likely to live on fatty fast food than salads, and when they do eat salads, they often
load them up with bacon bits and high-fat salad dressings.
Moringa supplements can help make up for the nutrients that most men miss in their daily diets. This
is a natural plant product that contains more than 90 nutrients and a long list of antioxidants, vitamins and
minerals. Men can increase their intake of fiber, protein and omega 3 fatty acids by taking this
supplement. This improved nutritional intake will help all bodily functions operate in a healthy, efficient
manner While the ongoing research into the benefits of the Moringa plant are impressive, it must be noted
that the studies get results by administering specific doses of the supplement. In order to replicate the
results in your own life, you need to take a pure Moringa Oleifera supplement on a daily basis over a long
period of time. The ongoing nutritional support is what allows it to boost your immune system, help with
sexual function and all its other benefits. While this supplement cannot take the place of prescription
medications, you can discuss adding it to your diet as a part of your treatment for a variety of medical
conditions. In addition to diabetes, the supplement can help combat arthritis, gout and blood circulation
problems. It is also useful for men who want to do everything possible to prevent the development of
these medical conditions. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug
Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Moringa Oleifera is a natural-growing plant that has been used to treat a variety of medical conditions for
thousands of years. If you are just now hearing about it as a potential supplement to help maintain normal
blood sugar, that is due modern technology. Plants like Moringa have traditionally been limited to the
people living near their natural habitats. Manufacturers are now bringing these plants to other areas of the
world due to advanced harvesting, collection, processing and shipping methods.

Some plants, berries and fruits coming from different regions of the world turn out to be nothing but
fads, particularly in the weight loss industry. These supplements are easy to identify because they are
backed by little to no scientific research, and anecdotal accounts of their benefits cannot be verified or
proven. Since dietary supplements do not need to be pre-approved by the FDA before they hit store
shelves in the United States, many people are confused about the products they consume and the benefits
they may derive from taking them. FDA enforcement includes this area and the presentation of unsafe
products. If your hopes are high for adding Dead Sea Moringa to help keep your blood sugar in the normal
range, you are in luck. This supplement stands apart from the fads in multiple ways:

There have been many scientific studies indicating the benefits of Moringa supplementation. These are
official, controlled studies from reputable researchers around the world.
 The scientific evidence in favor of the supplement backs up the anecdotal accounts from real
people around the world. You don’t have to question the success stories you read online as being
fabricated by marketers because there is researching proving that those success stories have been
replicated in controlled environments.

Moringa has been used as a nutritional supplement for malnourished people in some of the poorest
regions of the world. Humanitarian groups were using the supplement to help pregnant and nursing
women increase their milk supply and malnourished children increase their appetites long before the
supplement hit the mass market in the western world.

The supplement is not marketed as a cure for diabetes or any other medical condition. It is a nutritional
supplement that happens to help maintain normal blood sugar levels and support blood circulation. It has
also been found to help maintain normal blood pressure levels and to be of benefit in a variety of bodily
systems.

 It is the overall nutritional profile that makes Moringa a powerful supplement to keep the human
body healthy. Many berries and plants that end up being fads have just one natural property that
supposedly gives them healing power for one or two specific applications. While other
supplements have one vitamin or nutrient, Dead Sea Moringa is a full complex of nutrients.
 It is difficult to find natural supplements that have this many potential applications backed by
scientific evidence. The evidence is the key because so many supplements have no evidence at
all. They force you to risk your health by taking a product that may help you in the short term
while hurting you in the long term. Moringa supplements have been used widely around the
world for many years, and to date, there are no known side effects. You can actually find more
supporting scientific evidence in favor of the supplement than you can find reports of negative
experiences. This makes it an all-natural supplement that is safe for most people to add to their
diabetes treatment plans. You may want to discuss your use of the supplement with your doctor
if you take prescription medications, but start with a quick analysis of the research supporting its
use.

There are a few things you need to understand about scientific studies researching the use of
Moringa supplements to treat diabetes or any other medical condition:

Each study uses a different part of the plant with different processing requirements. For instance, some
studies use Moringa seeds while others use a powdered form of the leaves.
Each study specifies a specific dose of the supplement to be administered on a routine schedule.
Therefore, the results delivered are based on consuming a specific dose at specific intervals over a given
period of time.

Some studies are on rats, but more human studies are starting to surface. It is clear that the research on
humans will continue in the years to come. Where we are today is just the beginning for discovering the
full benefits of Moringa supplements.

In May 2007, the Journal of Clinical Biochemistry and Nutrition released the results of a controlled
study analyzing the effects of Moringa on blood glucose tolerance in rats. Fresh Moringa Oleifera leaves
were collected in Senegal, which is a natural habitat for the plant. A powder was created from shade-dried
leaves, and the powder was used as a supplement for one group of rats. Researchers used a control group
and fed both groups of rats the same food and water to eliminate other influences on glucose tolerance.
The results of this study showed that the rats consuming the Moringa powder did show signs of improved
glucose tolerance over rats in the control group. In February 2011, the International Journal of Health &
Nutrition released information from a study that allowed human patients to take a Moringa leaf
supplement for a period of three months. These patients were monitored for blood glucose level changes
after each month of supplementation. The study used leaves from the Moringa plant formed into
“dehydrated green leafy tablets,” also known as drumstick leaf tablets. The results of the study showed
that the patients did lower their blood glucose levels each month of supplementation, with the most
significant drop in levels occurring in the third month of supplementation. Studies do not claim that
Moringa supplements can cure diabetes or any other medical condition. Research has confirmed that the
nutritional profile of the plant is beneficial for a variety of human bodily systems and functions, but it is
used as a supplement rather than a treatment. These are the additional benefits:

 Weight Loss Support

 Enhanced Nutrition
 Maintain Normal Blood Glucose Levels
 Support Normal Blood Pressure

There are many real-world cases where diabetics have reversed their condition through enhanced
nutrition, exercise and extensive weight loss. This makes sense, considering the number of people who
become diabetic due to obesity, sedentary lifestyles and unhealthy eating habits. When those factors are
turned around, some people can take charge of their health. While it is not marketed as a cure for diabetes,
Moringa supplements can help support weight loss and will definitely help nourish your body with high-
quality nutrients, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. You still have to do the work by controlling your
daily diet and living a more active lifestyle. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and
Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Breastfeeding offers many benefits for babies that go well beyond simple nutrition. Not only does
nursing provide your baby with the nutrients and vitamins he needs to grow and thrive, but it also ensures
that your baby gets the disease-fighting substances he/she needs to keep him protected from illnesses. For
these reasons, breastfeeding is recommended for at least the first six months of a baby’s life whenever
possible. Studies have shown that breastfeeding not only keeps your baby protected from illnesses as
noted above, but it may also help to prevent allergies, boost your baby’s intelligence and reduce the risk
of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Breastfeeding is beneficial to new mothers as it can reduce the
risk of postpartum depression, reduce stress and may also reduce the risk of ovarian and breast cancers.
New mothers are often concerned that they will not have enough milk for their new baby. They may also
be concerned that while their baby gets great nutrition, they are able to ensure their own health and energy
level as well. Dead Sea Moringa is one supplement that is recommended for mothers who are nursing.
This supplement has many benefits to offer that are specific to breastfeeding while offering a number of
other health benefits as well. Let’s take a closer look at Dead Sea Moringa, what makes it special, the
benefits it offers for nursing mothers and some other important information to consider before using it.
Moringa oleifera, a plant from the Moringacea family, grows in semi-arid, subtropical, and tropical
climates. For centuries it has been called the “miracle plant,” since it offers excellent medicinal and
nutritional properties. In fact, it has been a popular remedy used within the Ayurvedic Indian medicine
tradition for hundreds of years. The plant is an excellent source of minerals and vitamins, including iron,
potassium, vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium, vitamin B and more. It also includes important amino acids,

Benefit #1: Improved Nourishment Prevents Deficiencies

One benefit Dead Sea Moringa offers to nursing mothers is improved nourishment, which helps to

ensures that the baby gets the nutrition he/she needs. By taking moringa, mothers can be sure to get the
nutrition they require and stay strong and healthy while nursing.

who take this supplement before childbirth find that their milk comes in faster after they give birth. In
fact, moringa is shown to increase breast milk production significantly, with women taking moringa
producing over two times the breast milk that other mothers produce. The increase in milk production
helps to ensure that babies have the milk they need. This helps to reduce the chance of needing to
supplement with formula if the mother is, or sometimes just feels, that she is not producing enough milk
to feed the baby.

Benefit #3: Helps Mothers Supply Nutrition to their Baby

By taking Dead Sea Moringa, mothers can make sure that their breast milk offers the best nutrition
possible for the babies as well as themselves. When mothers take moringa, improving their intake of
important nutrients helps to ensure that their breast milk provides the level of nutrients that the baby
needs, keeping the baby as healthy as possible.

Not only does Dead Sea Moringa offer excellent benefits for mothers who are breastfeeding, but the
supplement offers other important health benefits that may be beneficial to mothers as well. Moringa is
known to help support normal blood pressure, a challenge that some pregnant and nursing mothers
experience, providing a natural way to keep blood pressure healthy. It also helps maintain normal blood
sugar levels, something that may prove beneficial to mothers who have experienced gestational diabetes.
Since it may help reduce hair loss, new mothers may find that taking the supplement may help to reduce
the hormonal hair loss that often occurs after childbirth. Being a new mother can be exhausting, especially
when breastfeeding. Dead Sea Moringa helps to boost energy levels, something that any new mother is
sure to appreciate. It also helps to strengthen the immune system, reduces the occurrence of headaches
