DEFINITION OF TERMS

1. Patent – it is the right granted to an inventor to exclude anyone from commercially exploiting
his invention for a limited period.
2. Copyright – the right over literary and artistic works which are original intellectual creations
in the literary and artistic domain protected from moment of creation
3. Related Right – these are rights neighboring the original creator of the rights or those who
makes the original creation public.
4. Prior Art – refers to an art is already available to the public or those art which are already
published for purposes of registration
5. Inventive Step – the art must not be obvious to the person who is expert to such field.
6. Industrially applicable – invention can be produced and used in any industry
