CZ 350.

860 V4 GP racer
air-cooled four-cycle four-cylinder engine having cylinders arranged in the fork
with the crankshaft axis across the frame and an opening angle of 90, wherein the
symbol of a number of cylinders is uplifted to the horizontal of 10 .
crankshaft is supported on four roller bearings. on tap for the primary wheel
double row cylindrical roller bearing, in the middle it is also a row - with half
outer ring and bearing cages. On the timing side there are two ball bearings.
crankshaft is pressed from three parts by two connecting rod pin mutually offset by
180 . each of the two pins is common to the two connecting rods. lower connecting
rod eye is carburized and hardened, and its rollers 4 x 10 mm are stored in the
cage made of aluminum alloy.upper rod eye is copper-plated. the piston pin is from
cemented material and is a slide fit. The forged piston has one ring seal and one
scraper. Both are made of ductile iron.
pressure oil is supplied to outer ring outer fling off and thence to the metal
shims flywheel. drilled pins directly lubricate the connecting rod bearings. Other
bearings and the cylinder walls are splash lubricated. Tin plates are used at the
same time as the centrifugal oil cleaner.
Aluminum alloy cylinders are separate with different ribbing for upright and
horizontal rows. alloyed cast iron inserts are pressed into them. cylinder heads of
aluminum alloys are always shared by two cylinders. the heads are divided camshafts
mounted on the needle bearings and for each cylinder two intake and two exhaust
valves. saucers intake valves are 20 mm, 18 mm exhaust. valves are made of
austenitic steel with hard chrome shafts. returning a simple cylindrical coil
spring. cam acts on the valves through a single-arm rocker leaning against the ball
head adjusting screws. The camshaft is lubricated by pressure oil that passes
through the drilled adjusting screws drilled rockers and thence sprayed to the
point of contact of the cam and rocker arm. Return oil passes through hoses outside
the engine. The combustion chambers are across from alloyed bronze and the heads
are molded hot. This greatly simplified the processing channels and extend the life
of the valve seats. in each combustion chamber is one 10mm sparkplug.
3. crank mechanism is pressed. middle arm together with the neutral crankpin form
one unit. Therefore, a middle bearing split outer ring and cage.
4. left piston is 50 mm for the engine of 350 cm3 and on the right is 55 mm larger
piston, which at the same stroke increases the engine displacement to 420 cm3.
