Learning Write. Find the letters and write the mystery word.
activities 1. Read the words in the word bank and check that the students AB Pg 79 10
understand them. mins
2. Complete the first clue as an example: My second letter is in shop
and in judo. Ask the class Which letter is in ‘judo’ and ‘shop’? ( o)
.Write the numbers 1-6 on the board. Write ‘o’ below number 2.
3. Ask the students to copy the example and to continue with the
other questions in the same way.
Answers: 1. shop, judo 2. egg, tennis 3. fly, Monday 4. chess, hat
5. book, walk 6. cow, cat
The mystery word is hockey.

1. Look at the notices with the class. Ask Which names can you see mins
? Write a list on the board: Helen, Jenny, Mark, Simon, Alex, Lara.
2. Focus on the example. Check Helen’s name in the notices with
the class.
3. The students read the rest of the sentences and write the correct
names.

1. Focus on the small pictures that illustrate the sounds. Say the words CD 2.53 mins
for the students to repeat.
2. Tell the students that they are going to listen too a recording of the
words for some of the things in the larger pictures.
3. Play the Cd . The students point and repeat.

Teach the chant line by line. Focus on the pronunciation points.
Use choral and individual repetition to check the pronunciation.
