polymyxin B sulfate 5,000 u,
bacitracin 400 u
Apply to the affected area 2-5
times daily.

Bacterial infections due It prevents and controls Severe allergic disorders eg,
to susceptible organisms inflammation by controlling generalized itching, swelling
as in impetigo, ecthyma, the rate of protein of the face, sweating,
sycosis vulgaris, otitis synthesis, depressing the tightness of the chest &
externa, paronychia & for migration of hypotension. Skin

NURSING RESPONSIBILITIES

 Examine area for infections and skin integrity before application.
 Administer cautiously to pregnant patients; topical corticosteroids have
caused teratogenic effects and can be absorbed from systemic site.
 WARNING: Use caution when occlusive dressings or tight diapers cover
affected area; these can increase systemic absorption of the drug.
 Avoid prolonged use near eyes, in genital and rectal areas, and in skin
creases.
 Apply sparingly; do not cover with tight dressings.
 Avoid contact with the eyes.
 Report irritation or infection at the site of application
