Topic : The Insect Investigator

Focused Skill : Reading

Content Standard :2.2 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to

demonstrate understanding of variety of linear and non-linear texts


in the form of print and non-print materials using a range of
strategies to construct meaning.

Learning Standard : 2.2.2 Able to read and understand phrases and sentences from:

a) linear text

Objective (s) : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:

1. read the text with correct pronunciation.


2. fill in the blanks with sentences.

Vocabulary : ant, queen, colony, soldier.

Moral Values :appreciate what we have in our lives.

Teaching aids : Reading text, pictures, envelope, sentence strips.
