According to recent surveys done by widely read newspapers, people might not save as much as
money they do today. There will be drastic changes that would occur in people’s lives on their planet.
Since the weather will be hotter, people might not need to buy warmer clothes. They will spend only
about 5% of their incomes on clothes. More than 30% of our incomes will be on health care. Many new and
unknown diseases may be the cause of that increase. Many people will be able to buy medicines for
themselves without consulting a doctor.
The most striking change will be the water and electricity bills. Whereas they represent 5% from today’s
households, they will go up to 20%. This would make people unable to use their electric appliances.
Water and electricity will “eat” a quite large part from people’s earnings. The reason might be pollution,
which will make fresh water very insufficient and precious.
Discovery of new methods of building houses may help people find inexpensive ones. However, more
than 20% of people’s money will be on building or renting houses.
You might not see large quantities of fresh fruit and vegetables on the markets as they are today. Most
people would rely heavily on fast and canned food. Illegal hunting of animals might cause a great decrease
of many species, which will make meat very rare.
