UNSCOP and 14May, 1948 debacle

 UN is given the responsibility to clean Britain's mess in Palestine only two years after it has
been created. Under UNSCOP -UN special committee on Palestine. Whether it should exist
or not by 2/3 majority and later to decide boundaries. They stay here for a year from May
15, 1947.
 14 May, 1948 by 6P.M. was the deadline to decide on statehood of Palestine decision to be
made. - BUT WHICH STANDARD TIME? confusion
 David Ben Gurion, Jews, Arabs estimate all possible outcomes if British pull out for Hagannan
to takeover by hook or by crook. 14 may, 1948: if they wouldn't have agreed on making it a
recognised state then David Ben Gurion planned to take control by force.
 14 may, 1948 by 6P.M through a conference in Geneva, Switzerland. - BUT WHICH
STANDARD TIME? Confusion -Arab time/Israeli Time or Geneva Time?
 6 P.M. Geneva time i.e. By the midnight in Israel and Palestine people wait for the decision.
However UN fails to reach a unanimous decision. A delegate of Iraq gets up and says that it
has been 6:01 P.M. And due to the unavailability of a verdict he says that Israel hasn't been
created then a delegate of Israel gets and says that Israel will be made.
 In Tel Aviv, the leader of Hagannan David Ben Gurion declares that Israel has been born on
14 May, 1948.

the war for Israel

 Ben Gurion and Hagannan- majorly refuges and migrants has been training for six months
with military help from Stalin. Stalin's ultimate gamble was to allow the creation of Israel- a
Jewish state so that all Jews from Russia head there.
 The very next day Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon attack
Israel simultaneously. This war lasts for six months and Israel surprisingly defeats the
ultimate coalition . It is a result of the desperate passion for getting a land - that of Israel to
call their own. Armies of Arabia and Egypt are just fancy royal armies who haven't really
fought.
 For the next six months Ben Gurion carries out an extremely dark campaign PLAN D i.e.
clearing all neighbourhoods of Arab populations mainly leaving only a few refugee camps.
When Ben Gurion was asked about whether he carried out PLAN D. He neither agreed nor
denied when years later he was asked about in a UN Tribunal. number of casualties are not
known.
 US doesn't really support the concept of Israel at this point of time as opposed to Stalin.
Russia's delegate says the only country supportive of Jews is Russia . Harry S. Truman calls
an unrightfully to drag out rightful inhabitants from Israel and calls it Britain's fault selling
land like that to Jews .

Birth of MOSSAD
 Israel really wants to get US - the great daddy on its side. Ben Gurion establishes MOSSAD
modelled on the basis of CIA.
  At the end of Stalin's reign , after his death Nikita Khrushchev conducts a secret meeting of
the communist party to de-Stalinize Russia in the early 1950's . He is going to start de-
Stalinization in parts to see the loyalists and keep them in check. he calls a top secret
Politburo meeting , so secret that the Russians themselves found out about this in 1990s.
 MOSSAD manages to get footage of this top notch meeting from three different camera
angles. They had at least had three MOSSAD agents in top Politburo ranks. they sent this
clip to US without a message or pretext. US ever since then has been best friends with
MOSSAD and Israel because to do a feat as this is truly invaluable.
Since then MOSSAD has been a trusted source of information for US because its agents'
network is extremely strong.
CIA has been faltering recently due to nationalist agenda which changes with presidents.
 MOSSAD's major concern is national security. It has its own execution authority. It disowns
its agents when they are caught even declaring them to be non-Israelis and is absolutely
impenetrable. Kidnapping, shoot outs is a common thing for their missions.
 MOSSAD replaced the central political intelligence department . Its civil citizens and army
also constitutes of spies for information.

Israeli spy Las Wolfgang

 Israeli spy Las Wolfgang WAS A GERMAN DEPLOYED IN Egypt to spy on Egyptian security. His
mother was Jewish emigrated long back and was only born Germanand he used this as a
cover that he fought in north Africa with(against is what he meant) Rommel for the Weimar
.He had known Egypt it was his actual identity but the truth was that this guy as a part of the
British Army. He had all documents.
 He ran a horse racing stable and gained good contacts with all the top notch rich affluent
people in Egypt. He picked up details of Egypt's missionary air force from the meetings they
had in his stables that it always had planes on Patrol during night war , Constantly airborne .
the night shifts pilots are supposed to land at 7:30 and morning shift leaves at 7:30. but the
pilots would take around half an hour between 7.30-8.00 a gap due to logistics. Gap of 15 to
30 minutes a crucial delay where they would not have.
 Military airbase were dummy hangars .He tipped off Israeli intelligence to bomb runways to
bring air force to a halt instead to avoid taking off of planes to easily hit on targets.
 He was arrested after being traced in 1965 and given lifetime imprisonment and exchanged
later for 9 Egyptian generals. Due to his long info transmission schedules which increased
Egypt's suspicion of spy infiltration.

Israeli spy Eli Cohen

 Israel spy Cohen set up and rose to ranks in the Syrian Army he had eucalyptus trees over
underground bunkers to spot secret bunkers on the pretext of cooling bunkers for soldiers'
welfare as a signal to Israel air force to bomb these bases. He was publically executed and
this failure leaked out essential information about MOSSAD and Israeli generals.

Egypt, Jordan and Syria vs. Israel in war

 June5, 1967: combined armies of Egypt, Jordan and Syria attacked Israel from three sides.
 This war took 6 days and was obviously ruled in Israel's favour.
 Between 7:30-8 AM the Egyptian runways were bombed and Israel thus managed to destroy
300 of the 340 Egyptian planes due to Wolfgang's inputs
 Bombed up entire army ranks and took Golan heights from Syria due to Cohen's inputs.
