Te Po, the night sky.
Ranginui and Papatuanuku were
formed’…
With the devoted love and passion
Ranginui and Papatuanuku shared
for each other they created seven
son’s who were to be called…
Tumatauenga God of War..
Tanemahuta Lord of the forest…
Tawhirimatea God of Weather
Tangaroa God of the sea …
Haumia-Tiketike God of the wild
or uncultivated foods…
 Rongo-Ma-Tane God of the
Kumara and Cultivated foods
Ruaumoko God of Volcanoes and
Seasons
Ranginui & Papatuanuku loved all
their sons
and sheltered them in darkness.
One day Tane Pushed his parents
apart with the strength of his legs,
so that we could all live in light..
Today Ranginui still watches over
his beloved Papatuanuku from
above as she lays upon the land
nurturing their children.
