Importance of acquiring Islamic knowledge is the topic I have chosen today.

You and I are blessed as Muslims , To achieve our ultimate success in life it’s imperative to
learn and practice the true religion as guided by Quran and Sunnah .

In today’s technology era, at this world of internet and social networking internet it’s easy to
get carried away from the truth…

Hence its crucial to acquire the right knowledge from the Right source At the Right time.

As we all know the first verse that revealed to Muhammed (SA) was “Ikhrah “ … it means to
Read or Recite ..

Nothing that Allah reveals is by coincidence, Obviously there is a wisdom behind that ayah ..
There is a message that Allah want us to understand from that ayahth ..

What comes from reading and reciting ? It is knowledge and Allah want us to
acquire knowledge
Acquiring Islamic knowledge and other worldly knowledge …

Learning the Obligatory Knowledge of the Religion makes us able to discriminate between
what is lawful (halal) and what is unlawful (haram), what is valid and what is invalid, what is
acceptable and what is rejected.

With the knowledge of the religion, one knows how to speak, what to speak , how to buy
and sell , how to conduct a marriage contract. how to be obedient to his parents and how
to treat neighbours ,children . In short Islamic knowledge enables us to execute our day to
day life in the right path .

In Islamic perspective principle a mu’min need treat every single day as an important day
to increase his knowledge of Islam
… and if that day goes past their life and they do not learn something new , they consider
that day as a worthless.
How many of our days ,weeks , months & years that goes past our lives and yet we have
not even take the next level of knowledge in our lives ?

We don’t even spend time to learn even simple things as Muslims we must know.
Mohamed (SA) says that if Allah wants good for someone Allah will increase their
knowledge in Islam. If you want to see Allah’s grace and blessing upon you, you need to look
at how much Allah opens the doors of knowledge to you .
Brothers and sisters , nowadays we neglect seeking knowledge even though we have a
number of facilities and opportunities to seek knowledge.

We need to think about it … We need to seriously think about it

What does Allah says about seeking knowledge…

Allah raises the ranks of those among you who believe and those who were granted the knowledge
(Surat Al-Mujadalah, Ayah 11)

Allah Elevates, All Elevates those who acquire knowledge .

So the more you learn, is the closer you get to the Allah

Allahu Akbar ,

Allah has given you the opportunity to learn and get closure to him.

Don’t you know that seeking knowledge and acquiring knowledge is worship within itself
, its an ibadah. Learning is an ibadah

Brothers and sister, for every verse that you learn and understand , for every hadith that
you memories and understand is an ibadah

Despite of knowing this you and I ignore this great ibadah .. Let us be reminded..

Brothers and Sister , Listen, learn, comprehend.

We ask Allah, the most merciful , to grant us the knowledge that is beneficial for us and to
increase our knowledge. Amin.
