Business Analyst

A Business Analyst at Nagarro is the person who will understand client’s ecosystem and the
pertinent problems that need to be solved. Nagarro has a team of business analysts (BA) that
specialize in our industry domains. These analysts are responsible for requirement gathering (often
onsite at the client location) developing and documenting the requirement specification documents.
They also work with the QA group to define and document the test cases to be used for each
development effort. The analyst is usually involved in change management and functional testing
during the project and acts as a liaison between the client and the development team. They also
assist the customer in taking decisions at critical stages of the project based on their understanding
of the project and requirements. Nagarro provides training pathways to business analysts, and
expects them to fulfill the following functions:
 Conduct client and end user needs assessment and analyze tasks using appropriate
techniques that meet the required objectives.
 Define customer scenarios to represent each key target audience and identify their goals
and tasks.
 Identify all content required on the site and how it should be organized.
 Design both high-level and detailed information wire frames as needed to illustrate content
organization, processes, and functionality and also assist in creating scope documents and
user stories.
 Presenting, clearly and concisely, various stages of the information architecture
development to the client.
 Provide usability and user interface design recommendations to the design team.
 Review site during visual design and development to ensure everything works as intended.
 Perform heuristic site evaluations and analysis for competitive benchmarking.
 Conduct UAT and assist with usability test development, administration, evaluation, and
reporting.
 Support research and development of the latest user-centered methods and techniques and
use it as a foundation for all decisions and deliverables.
 Manage updates to information architecture documents including site maps, user scenarios,
use cases, wireframes, content matrices, flow diagrams, and detailed functional
requirements.
 Prepare Whitepapers about Nagarro experiences in specific industry domain

Alternately, his prime responsibilities include:


 Responsible for understanding and gathering business requirements of the product at any all
stages of the product cycle.
 Documents business requirements in the form of System Requirement Specifications (SRS)
document.
 Creates and maintains all Use Cases of the product.
 Works with UI Designer to make create mockups/screens of the product UI. He sometimes
works with usability expert to choose best usability scenarios.
 Responsible for doing UAT of the product release.

Other Responsibilities:
 Helps Quality Engineer Analyst (QEQA) in understanding the business requirements of the
product. In addition he helps the QA in making building a Test Matrix and Test Plan.
Sometimes occasionally he is also responsible for reviewing the Test Cases made by QAE.
 Helps TL and Developers understand the business requirements of the product.
 Responsible for managing all change requests raised by the client during the development
phase.
 Helps client in making the product road map.
 Interacts with the architect to decide on the technical feasibility of the business
requirements.
 Does comparative analysis about competitor products or some tool or libraries to be used
for the product.
 Responsible for creating and maintaining Functional Training Pathways.
 Sometimes occasionally works with the architect in to identifying performance bottlenecks,
security issues, integration issues etc.
