painting throughout th he Middle Easst and Asia. Siince 2008 he  has 
lived in Sp
partanburg, SC.  He teache es for Greenville Center fo r the 
Creative AArts and Spartanburg Art M Museum, and d has offered  many regionaal workshopss. His work is ccollected 
by the City of Greer, Sppartanburg Co ounty Public Library, the HHobcaw Baronny, and manyy private colleectors.

Lunch: Bring your own 
Class Description: In this class, Stacey will dive deeper into color theory and explain terms like hue, 
intensity, saturation, value, tints, color relativity, harmony, brightness, and tones. She’ll take you through 
three simple step‐by‐step processes of choosing and making a color palette using color harmony and 
inspiration.  After students have a good working foundation of colors, Stacey will explain color theory 
behind skin tones and how to successfully mix a variety of skin tones from fair to the darkest. All activities 
will be taught using watercolor. Each student will receive a workbook and no supplies are needed, however 
a mixed media sketchbook will be beneficial to the student. 
 
Saturday and Sunday March 24‐25 – Watercolor Workshop with Dwight Rose  
Two full days 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM –  
Student Skill Level: intermediate, advanced or combination.  
Lunch: Bring your own 
Cost: SASi members $120, Non‐members $135.  
Class Description: Enjoy insightful instruction and experimentation 
while learning the fundamentals of watercolor painting.  Using 
traditional methods, you will learn the basic techniques that are 
specific to this medium. The instructor will provide step‐by‐step 
approaches from beginning to completion of the entire painting 
process. Subjects painted will mainly be landscapes and some prior 
experience in drawing and watercolor painting would be helpful.   
Students are responsible for bringing supplies.  See Supply List online or at SASi.
