Application
The control unit KEA 071 ANL
is designed to control stand-
by gensets. There are two
analogue inputs for monito-
ring of oil pressure and en-
gine temperature. The func-
tions of the output relays and
the relevant parameters are
to be set by using a laptop.
Furthermore, the control unit
is fitted with an optical fibre
connector by which a central
control system (a protocol
converter might be required),
an alarm extension or the
KUHSE Telemon monitoring
system may be connected.
The software for stand-by
operation covers:
- mains voltage failure de-
tection
- checking of preliminary
starting conditions
- starting of genset and
change-over from mains to
generator supply
- frequency control for island

To monitor the assembly and
the genset, the control unit
is fitted with the following
facilities:
− 3-phase voltage sensors,
for mains and generator,
monitoring under- and
overvoltage, under- and
overfrequency and asym-
metry of phases,
− 14 externally connected
fault signals, thereof max. 4
from analogue inputs,
− 4 internally connected fault
signals each, for mains and
generator voltage,
− DC battery voltage monitor.
