Buttercup Scarflet

Materials:
 size 6 (4mm) and size 8 (5mm) needles
 Knit Picks Swish Worsted / approx 115 yards
2 balls recommended if exceeding 19" in length
 cable needle, 3 small buttons approx ½” in diameter,
stitch markers, darning needle, row counter

Finished Measurements:
 (blocked) approx 21.5" long x 4.5” wide

Special Stitches:
Bundle 3 = wyib slip 1 st, (k1, yf, k1), psso the (k1, yf, k1)
Wrap 6 = K6 sts & place on cn. With RS facing you, wrap
the yarn counterclockwise 4x around the 6 sts on the cn.
Slip these sts back to RHN
C6F = slip 3 sts to the front, K3 LHN, K3 cn
C6B = slip 3 sts to the back, K3 LHN, K3 cn
Tw4R = slip 1 st to the back, K3 LHN, P1 cn
Tw4L = slip 3 sts to the front, P1 LHN, K3 cn
Tw5R = slip 2 sts to the back, K3 LHN, P2 cn
Tw5L = slip 3 sts to the front, P2 LHN, K3 cn

skp, P1, P2tog, P1, K3, P4, K1, P1, K1, BO the last st (8 sts decreased / 26 sts on needle)

Buttonhole Closure Row (WS): K1, turn & CO 1 st, turn back, K1, K11, turn & CO 1 st, turn back, K11, P1, turn & CO 1 st, turn
back, K1 (29 sts on needle)

Next Row (RS): K1, P1, K25, P1, K1

Bind off knitwise.

Finishing:

Whipstitch around the buttonholes for a cleaner and more distinctive appearance. Sew 1 st button approx 1/4” from cast on edge
spacing the 3 buttons 2” apart from each other. (Use the buttonhole closures as a guide in button spacing.) Weave in all loose
ends. Blocking, while also preventing the border from curling, will fill the scarflet out to the approximate given measurements.
Launder according to your fiber choice, considering any additions to the piece such as buttons. Hand washing is recommended.
