Instructions and Documents Needed

Instructions

1. Check the Web site of the Faculty of Graduate Studies


(http://graduatedstudies.ju.edu.jo/home.aspx) to have a look at the
programs offered and the admission application procedures.

2. Accurately and clearly fill out the admission application form.

3. From the Financial department, get a 20-JD receipt (for Jordanians) or a 150-
dollar receipt (for non-Jordanians), and attach it to the admission application
form.

4. Review the priorities and the admission conditions of the desired


specialization. The student is held responsible for any mistake in the
information submitted.

5. It is the student's right to apply more than once, submitting a new independent
admission application form each time.

6. The admission application form shall be submitted to the registrar of the


Faculty of Graduate Studies.

Documents Needed

Authenticated copies of the following non-retrieved documents shall be attached to


the admission application:

1. A copy of the General Secondary Certificate (tawjihi), or an


equivalent.

2. An authenticated copy of the bachelor's degree.

3. An authenticated copy of the diploma (if any).

4. An authenticated copy of the master's degree for doctoral students.

5. The grades lists (GPA) all through the academic years in bachelor's,
diploma, and master's programs.
6. The university's grades system (for graduates of non-Jordanian
universities).

7. The equivalence of a certificate accredited by the Ministry of Higher


Education and Scientific Research to the certificates of official foreign
and Arab universities.

8. A document that proves that the student has a TOEFL certificate (or an
equivalent), which would enable him/her to apply for the required
specialization.

9. Three personal pictures.

10. An authenticated copy of the birth certificate, carrying the national


number on it, in addition to a copy of the passport (for Non-
Jordanians).

11. A copy of a research that has been published or approved to be


published in an accredited scientific journal for students who have
applied for the Ph.D programs, if any.

Additional Documents Required from Jordanian Students

12. A copy of the civil status card certified by the Civil Status Department.

13. A copy of the military service book, for male students born in 1989
and afterwards.

14. The approval of the institution the student is working in, if needed.
This is a must for workers at the University of Jordan and the
University Hospital, as well as beneficiaries of the Jordanian Armed
Forces.
