Dengue Desease
Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a disease that is spread by a virus and
also an acute febrile illness that is found in the tropics, with a geographical spread
similar to malaria. Dengue fever is transmitted by the bite of an Aedes mosquito
infected with a dengue virus. The mosquito becomes infected when it bites a person
with dengue virus in their blood. It can’t be spread directly from one person to another
person.
Aedes Aegypti
Aedes aegypti is a type of mosquitoes that can carry dengue virus causes dengue fever
a. Aedes aegypti mosquito pleased with the pool of clean water is not flowing
and not exposed to sunlight
b. Aedes aegypti out at 10 am to 6 pm
c. Transmission of disease carried by female mosquitoes
2. Dengue Virus Causes
The disease is caused by a virus that causes disturbances in capillary blood
vessels and the blood clotting system, resulting in bleeding-bleeding. Vectors that
play a role in transmission of this disease is the mosquito Aedes aegypti. The virus is
transmitted from an infected mosquito to human. The process begins when a person
who is infected with the Dengue virus is bitten by a mosquito, the virus is then passed
on when someone else is then bitten by the infected mosquito.
If you have suffered from dengue fever previously it is still possible to
contract it again, because of the number of different types of viruses that cause the
fever. If you were infected again and became ill, there is a greater risk of developing a
harsher form of the disease, such as dengue hemorrhagic fever (particularly in
children). This is unusual because, normally, previous exposure to a virus causes the
body to carry antibodies that allow the body to fight off the virus more easily the
second time.
3. Dengue Fever Symptoms
Many people, especially children and teens, may experience no signs or
symptoms during a mild case of dengue fever. When symptoms do occur, they usually
begin four to 10 days after you are bitten by an infected mosquito. Signs and
symptoms of dengue fever most commonly include:
a. Fever, as high as 106 F (41 C)
b. Headaches
c. Muscle, bone and joint pain
d. Pain behind your eyes
You might also experience:
a. Widespread rash
b. Nausea and vomiting
c. Rarely, minor bleeding from your gums or nose
Most people recover within a week or so. In some cases, symptoms worsen
and can become life-threatening. Blood vessels often become damaged and leaky.
And the number of clot-forming cells (platelets) in your bloodstream drops. This can
cause:
a. Bleeding from your nose and mouth
b. Severe abdominal pain
c. Persistent vomiting
d. Bleeding under the skin, which might look like bruising
e. Problems with your lungs, liver and heart
4. Dengue Desease Treatment
a. Give Paracetamol.
b. Drink, 1.5 liter - 2 liter within 24 hours
c. ORS can be given as first aid
d. If the level drops to 40% hemotokrit then be infused Nacl or ringer.
e. Antibiotics may be given in case of secondary infection.
f. At the moment of shock or unconscious patient will be given oxygen.
g. Blood transfusions
5. Dengue Desease Prevention
a. Clean or drain water storage
b. Close the water reservoir with a meeting
c. Grave or throw in place of secondhand items
d. Close the holes in the fence made of bamboo with soil or mortar.
e. Fold the fabric or clothing that hung in the room
f. Sow abate powder
Besides those ways above, we can also do:
a. Spraying using chemical substances.
b. Fumigation with insecticide.
c. Breaking the life cycle of mosquitoes
6. Conclusion
From the above discussion in the paper, it can be concluded as follows:
a. Dengue is an acute febrile disease that is found in the tropics, with a geographical
spread similar to malaria.
b. To prevention we can also do:
 Spraying using chemical substances.
 Fumigation with insecticide.
 Breaking the life cycle of mosquitoes

7. Suggestion
In an effort to overcome the disease of Dengue Fever are a few suggestions from
authors who could be followed, including:
a. For each society should be willing to implement a healthy lifestyle and maintain a
healthy environment.
b. Should be given counseling and guidance to students in schools about the disease
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever.
c. 3M PLUS namely the need to close, draining, stockpiling and plus-plus a few
others such as maintaining a hickey or fish-eating fish larvae
