-Research is a systematic inquiry that investigates hypotheses, suggests new interpretations of


data or texts, and poses new questions for future research to explore.

o Direct observation/ personal experiences

Emerging issues

Conflicts in research findings/ inconclusive results

Theory
Personal interest in theoretical issues/ curiosity/ exploration

Through media/ current affair

Seminar's/ workshop/ trainings

Suggestion from other researches/ print materials/ literature review

3. What are the characteristics of a good problem?

 the variables in the problem must be clear

 it should be limited in scope and should be specific,

 It must have a goal

 it should be free from ethical constraints

 good research problem must be researchable.

4. What are the sharpening skills in conducting research?

 Report writing.
 Analyzing lots of information from different sources.
 Finding information off the internet.
 Critical thinking.
